With confirmation the series is sprinting to a close, there's nigh 0 time for Orochimaru to make a move. I know he said on panel he was only interested in Sasuke's "wind", which was ****ing dumb, and via power inflation, he ain't shit anymore.

But to see THIS is the note the man once feared worldwide will be remembered? As a butler to Sasuke because Itachi violated his confidence? A stepping stone for Kabuto to improve upon? It's ridiculous. The once scourge of the shinobi world is just a lapdog.

For NO good reason, either. He became a Sasuke wanker just because. I truly hope this is all a sick joke and Orochimaru is waiting off-panel to swallow Sasuke and show us what a real villain can accomplish.

Orochimaru's Weakness was Genjutsu. And the Uchihas were a thorn for him. Honestly I think its too late for him to make a final move as a villain, but thats not going to stop me from hoping he does something random and huge.

He was just kind of tolerated, especially in P2. Considering the fact that he got owned by Sharingan genjutsu multiple times and a spiritual sword, this isn't a surprise to the layperson at all.

Kakashi literally had visions of Orochimaru killing him just by talking to Orochimaru. Everyone in Konoha was afraid of Orochimaru, bar Jiraiya and Tsunade.
And I remember Sharingan Genjutsu working on him once, from Itachi Uchiha no less. The other time Sasuke used it on him and Orochimaru broke it instantly. He got owned by Totsuka Blade? How is that... a bad thing again? It was supposed to deal him away for eternity in one hit and escaped...

It doesn't matter if that theory is true (which it isn't because Orochimaru escaped from the blade itself as a small snake but was later burnt by Amaterasu), it's irrelevant.
