There was this Sakura VS. Tayuya thread where no one had legitimate counters for Tayuya's sound genjutsu.

I don't see Tsunade or Sakura resorting to Katsuyu very fast, This is in character so they won't summon Katsuyu unless it's really necessary.

Tsunade doesn't use any zone controlling ninjutsu that I'm aware of...

Eh, It's plausible. Tsunade has never summoned Katsuya unless it's really necessary. I think the sound 5 can overwhelm them even with Katsuya.

There was a tayuya vs sakura thread earlier where not a single sakura supporter could give a legitimate counter.. There was also a tsunade and sakura vs kimimaro thread where the same thing happened for the team's side. However ignoring those, sound 5 win this.

i've seen both yet people like to rake ranks of the sound five into account and forget about abilities.

Sound five can win.

Sakura and Tsunade can't counter Kidomaru's webs or handle Kimimaru's Taijutsu or get out of Tayuya's genjutsu on time. Then you've got Sakon, Ukon, and Jirobo who can overwhelm them with numbers
