Obito because he let the true beast out of Sasuke.
Kakashi tried to tame him.
Orochimaru tried to rape him.
Obito let the beast out.
Kakashi tried to tame him.
Orochimaru tried to rape him.
Obito let the beast out.
Thats naive. Kakashi clearly was trying to manipulate sasuke, but towards ideals that we the reader have been conditioned to think are good and pure.I'd actually say Kakashi. The only person he did not manipulate Sasuke.
Orochimari didn't want Sasuke's body after he got revived. He genuinely cared then. That said, Orochimaru gets my vote. However, it doesn't change the fact that Orochimaru did this with the goal of one day betraying Sasuke and stealing his body. A positive mentor would help someone else without any thought of whether this will benefit them or not, or what they would get out of it. That's why my verdict stands at Itachi or Kakashi.
Great answer.Thats naive. Kakashi clearly was trying to manipulate sasuke, but towards ideals that we the reader have been conditioned to think are good and pure.
I am pretty serious. What qualities makes Obito a mentor to Sasuke? All he did was tell Sasuke the truth about Itachi, not giving any advice or teaching him any jutsu.. literally Obito told Kakashi, Yamato, and Naruto that he was lucky that Sasuke did what he wanted him to. Okay he did plant Itachi's eyes into Sasuke but that still isn't mentorship, that's basic optometry surgery. All the others trained him or guided him in some fashion. I just don't see how Obito helped him make any decisions nor ever literally train him. Sasuke could have wanted to destroy Konoha regardless of knowing Itachi's past, Obito just got lucky in that regards. In summit arc, Obito literally saved Sasuke but still didn't teach him anything or guided him. That's just my reasoning behind it.Are you serious??? Did u not read after Itachi died???
I don't think you are reading the same series as I....I am pretty serious. What qualities makes Obito a mentor to Sasuke? A precise reply....I agree with the teamwork. But look at him now...Kakashi by far.
He taught the meaning of teamwork, in which Sasuke used with Taka. He taught him his signature move, the technique Sasuke would become his signature move. He is the only one who truly cared for Sasuke's path, and trained him to become a strong Shinobi who will protect Konoha. He didn't use him for personal reasons like the others have.

You're not giving me any perspective or insight to see why you think I'm wrong. If you can elaborate I'd get some idea of where you're coming from.I don't think you are reading the same series as I....
Sort of...but he is the reincarnation of Indra...he was destined to mainly be a soloist...That's what I exactly what I meant. When a person wields too much power, they become corrupted by it. Sasuke has godlike power, so obviously teamwork wouldn't matter to him. I think if he trained with Kakashi, he would not have turned out that way.
You clearly don't read the emphasis on Sasuke's curse of hatred explanation story....if it wasn't for Obito to explain the truth, enforce his true power, and organize a spot for him in the Akatsuki, then Sasuke wouldn't have been the badass he is today. If it wasn't for Obito, Sasuke would be right back in the Leaf Village and probably would be weaker than he is today. So you saying Obito was not a good mentor is INCORRECT SIR...You're not giving me any perspective or insight to see why you think I'm wrong. Okay that's true I didn't think of the curse of hatred story.. though I don't agree that he'd be in Konoha still.. I think him and Taka would have thought of something else. I do still think Oro is better just imo... and btw, I'm a girl.. /=You clearly don't read the emphasis on Sasuke's curse of hatred explanation story....if it wasn't for Obito to explain the truth, enforce his true power, and organize a spot for him in the Akatsuki, then Sasuke wouldn't have been the badass he is today. Exactly, Sasuke still respects his Teacher...I would have to say Orochimaru. Despite his agenda, he was honest from the beginning and trusted him enough to share his secrets with him. Not only does he mock Orochimaru in ninjutsu prowess, he also imitates his clothing seen as he wears or used to wear a rope as a belt.
