Orochimaru helped him get stronger and stuck by his side after his death to seek the truth..
However, it doesn't change the fact that Orochimaru did this with the goal of one day betraying Sasuke and stealing his body. A positive mentor would help someone else without any thought of whether this will benefit them or not, or what they would get out of it. That's why my verdict stands at Itachi or Kakashi.

I'd actually say Kakashi. The only person he did not manipulate Sasuke.

Not all mentors are good nor bad....they just have to teach you stuff bit by bit, and the student learns their ways...doesn't matter if they are good or bad.

Yeah that is true, but currently Itachi has had the greatest impact out of all of them, if I'm correct, Sasuke mentioned Itachi as he laid dying after Madara stabbed him. I tie it because it's honest actions vs. honest motivations :p

Orochimaru, I don't think Obito taught him anything. He learned the most jutsu from Orochimaru and let him meet the hokages to make up his mind about life, love & the pursuit of happiness.
Ha oh sh*t that answer was too good neg rep for being such a biiitch!!!

I'm just messing with you plus rep

It could also be argued that thanks to Itachi's last second ability transfer (His final action before dying, the forehead thing) and Sasuke taking his eyes could also be Itachi's way of giving his younger brother power. Plus Itachi as a motivation pushed Sasuke to desire more power, pushing him to leave. Itachi has had the greatest impact as a mentor to Sasuke.

The FCK u talking about?? I'm just Saying not all bad mentors are the worst. Just because they are bad doesn't mean they couldn't be the best...what they teach you, consider their rank in guidness. Itachi manipulated Sasuke the wrong way he wanted to...

Rank doesn't always mean a lot. Sure Orochimaru was a Sannin but Itachi, a man who is a mass murderer (the justification for that isn't important right now), has been Sasuke driving force for most of the series. In the end, Itachi's sacrifice has driven to Sasuke to the point that he even want to be Hokage to change the world (whether I agree with that or not isn't important)

The point is that I'm ranking it based on who has had the greatest impact on Sasuke and whether that impact still relevant or not, and Itachi (or Kakashi) are my choices.
