Lots to talk about in this Final to the best World Cup I can remember. On one hand, Germany just came off destroying the hosts Brazil. However, also keep in mind Germany looked very beatable against the USA and Algeria. Argentina, on the other hand, has scraped by in some games, but also looked very much on form at times.
Angel Di Maria is also out for Argentina. In my opinion (and I have been saying this since BEFORE the tournament started) Argentina has the best player in the world, but Germany has the best TEAM in the world. Germany's combination of Muller, Kroos, Khedira, Klose (to pick out goals), and Neuer is very powerful. My mind tells me that they will win. However, in a final that means this much, I think skill goes somewhat to the wayside, and will to win becomes the primary factor. IN the enemy territory Brazil, Argentina want to show that they are the dynastic team that they think they are, and improve on their (surprisingly low) tally of 2 world cups. I think (going against my intuition really) that Argentina will fight harder and draw the German machine to a standstill battle in midfield.
It will take one magical moment, late, from Messi to seal the deal in shocking fashion. 1-0 Argentina, Final.
What do you guys think? Thanks! =D
