To be fair, if you had been watching this World Cup objectively (lol) you would have seen that this "Defense of Argentina" has peformed far over expectations. They shut down the high-scoring offense of my favorite team, Netherlands, for example.

Yeah sure Rojo, Higuain, di Maria, they did good. It wasn't all Messi of course. But I am looking for Messi to lead Argentina to the win. Wether its scoring goals or hitting Rojo for cross for him to score. Either way, Messi is going to show us just how great he is.

Ah right, I misunderstood your post. I think that the reason people will think Messi "won it" is because if Argentina scores and wins, it will more than likely be his goal. But Argentina's defense (with the crucial help of Mascherano) will be responsible for holding the high-flying German attack to the point where Messi could work his magic.
