Mugen's hair is black and becomes waist-length. A bluish-gray, bandage-like carapace is wrapped around his torso, right arm, and face, ending just beneath his eyes. Black, flame-like markings are spread across his chest and wrap around his left arm, and the remains of a tattered black cloak cover his lower body. Mugens eyes are also a strikingly bright red often being mistaken for the sharingan.

Mugen is a rather reserved person, many believe him to be a loner but he simply dislikes the company of others and preferes to be alone. Mugen is also one who is strict with the rules and will follow them to a T and will also enforce them if needed. Although being by himself at most times he isn't against being in a squad or travelling with others although they make him feel uncomfortable. Like many Mist Shinobi Mugen believes the Mission is the First priority and will abandon a team member without a second thought if he believes it to be benefitial to the Mission. Aside from this he is a rather straight to the point kind of person who often comes across as rude or obnoxious when he is simply being blunt.

History
Mugen was born in Kiri, under the legendary Hozuki clan. At a very young age his parents had fought in a war and died as a result of battle leaving Kaname alone and by himself for a long time, he eventually went through the Bloody Mists Genin Test, causing him to kill his own classmates but due to Kaname growing up alone he did not care for who he killed or how he would accomplish it. After several years and witnessing the rise and fall of a great Mizukage Kakuzu, Kaname is still training in the elements hoping to hone his skills and be worthy to his current Mizukage.
During Kaname's time as a chuunin he was sent out on a escort mission with a farmer, he was escorting him to his home, where he had come across a strange boy with a Sunagakure head band, unsure of what to do Kaname asked the boy his name the boy replied "My name is Yosamu Uchiha do not forget it for we will battle some other day" and in an instant the strange boy had vanished off into the distance. Kaname never forgot that boys name even up until now he vows to find this man again and face off against him.
Kaname after years of training under the Sensei Kakuzu (Negative Knight) found a new teacher Dean Winchester (-L-), during his time with Dean he helped him master his use of Katon and can now perform it with a single hand sign
Also after training for a long period of time under the guidance of Castiel (Nathan) had found a new teacher Lord Pain (Ushiro) who taught him and helped him master his use of Raiton and can now perform it with faster hand signs
After remaining in Kirigakure for most of his life Kaname decided to head out and find someone who could help him master his clans abilities he had heard from some people in the village that there were teachers of the Hozuki clan in the Hidden Rain Village and thus Kaname headed out there.
After travelling for a short period of time Kaname had reached the gates of Amegakure and was greeted by a man named Bruce (-Yard-) who instructed that he would have to devour a special type of "Honey" produced from their Kage after finishing off the "Honey" he was greeted by a series of other people who welcomed him into the village.
