u can awaken rinnegan only if u have ashura's and indra's chakra... so that means if hashirama had madara's dna (indra's chakra) he would be able to awaken the rinnegan.. As for the MS,EMS thing... it wasnt mentioned anywhere u need them for rinnegan... U can be senju as ashura's reincarnation and again to awaken the rinnegan (if u have indra's chakra ofc)
So.. Datz how madara awaken the rinnegan.

Izanagi causes sharingan to go blind you lose eyesight and techs of SHARINGAN there still happens to be an eye there.
His eyes were upgraded,nagato revived a whole frwaking village and yo u guys act so suprised when madz gets back a single eyeball. Plus indra +ashura=hagoromo=rinnegan using these stats even tenten can have rinnegan.

Not a big hint. But for me, it left some suspicion on Tobi. But yeah, Kamui and it's workings was a huge indicator of him. In fact, it was so huge that Kakashi somehow didn't figure this out until Ch. 597 while Sakura did figure out its mechanics.

Using Occam's Razor, I'm infering the simplest case of both eyes having the same quality (EMS -which supposedly have light- can turn into Rinnegan). I won't start alluding to complicated cases such as the one you're bringing into the table (which makes sense, but is still way too complicated, and need further analysis -as for example, to prove that a blind sharingan can use chakra. If not, then Rinnegan is impossible to be awakened in a blind eye-).

the only flaw with that is that EMS doesnt actually lead to Rinnegan so even with just regular Sharingan
a person with Indra or Asura's chakra could get them as long as they have the other brothers chakra
