^ The only thing Itachi was afraid of was casting genjutsu on Jiraiya, because if he had done so, The Pervy Sage would've been in a comatose state, which would have given Kisame the opening to kill Jiraiiya with the Samehada.

It doesn't make sense. He separated Jiraiya from Naruto and Itachi fans say it was because he didn't want to kill him because he was an asset to the leaf, which is contradicted by the fact that he ordered Kisame to kill Kakashi. Also, separating Jiraiya from Naruto left a helpless Naruto defenseless, so Itachi didn't want to kill Jiraiya but he had no problem taking Naruto? This also contradicts the theory, why did he come up with the idea to separate Jiraiya from Naruto? Couldn't Itachi and Kisame have just confronted them together in the hotel and also "play chicken" and run away from Jiraiya? He had no reason to separate Jiraiya from Naruto to begin with. It's possible that Itachi had no choice but to act like an Akatsuki criminal because he knew Tobi was keeping tabs on him (remember Itachi didn't know Tobi knew everything about him) so he was actually weary of Jiraiya. Itachi might have felt confident enough to kill Jiraiya but why get weakened and pushed closer to death when he has to live long enough to fight Sasuke..

Because he knew Jiraiya was going to eventually come back, and that doesn't counter the fact that Kisame was questioning Itachi's retreat when he saw that Itachi could so have blatantly ended Jiraiya with either Amaterasu or Tsukuyomi.

Notice how Jiraiya doesn't use that technique against shinobis, at all. It's already been proven in the manga that you can walk on mud-like jutsus by placing chakra on the soles of your feet, so that you won't sink. Ask Izuisimo and his syrup jutsu.

That isn't How SOTUW Works. It literally sinks you in instantly! No time to apply chakra when it is too late, and it doesn't matter since it isn't regular "liquid" nor works like it in the traditional sense.

Obviously there is some force beyond gravity that pulls the opponent in. Chakra on the soles of your feet has nothing to do with it.

As for the Bunshin? He used it and then immediately showed himself afterwards. Not to mention, he used it one time only after he realized the situation called it. He'll get no such lenience when fighting Itachi because he has no intel on Amaterasu.
