The development was simply forced and led to far too many uncomfortable soliloquies about this nonexistent bond. They were teammates not blood brothers. Hence why kishi keeps pulling brother parallels out of his ass and retconing to sharingan sealing away love in a half assed attempt to validate sasuke (and obito's) actions lol

The fact that such a horrifyingly awful bound became the focus of this manga, being constantly shoved down our throats, it so disgusting

That's true. I especially agree with the bold, when Itachi's actions were not that of a hero.(torturing sasuke and kakashi, not giving any proper intel to konoha etc)

I agree with the ladies - it does seem forced, I mean they did start to bond in Land of Waves arc but Sasuke descended into darkness pretty quickly and even wanted to kill Naruto in Part II, yet Naruto was still clinging to him. I know that he sort of matured later on but Kishi should have instead just shown us more of their friendship development back in Part I and that would do nicely.
