To speed up the story, I think?
Luffy going to the 4th floor, getting Law's handcuffs removed, etc..takes more time..and I think it's to set up Luffy vs Doflamingo. That is why Law is still in handcuffs. >_>
The story can be sped up in much better ways than just trapping them in a corner like they were ally bums.

Odd, very odd. Luffy was going towards DD either way. It's not like that he was running away from him, so why ambushing him in a small sewer?

This really makes no sense.
How would Doflamingo know that Luffy is on his way, maybe he thought he would have no way up so DD came down to end it.

Why should Doflamingo sit idle in his palace to wait for Luffy to kick his ass. Now Doflamingo has the element of surprise.

All his cronies saw Luffy and the gladiators. Luffy rode up Pika and then destroyed its head. How could DD not have noticed all that? Even more so when Luffy just rode inside a tunnel with the point of going up thinking it was a short cut after that guy said it was one and DD even said that there was secret passage here, meaning he knew where Luffy was trying to go.

And again why does DD need the element of surprise?

His cronies were on a different (lower) level while baby5 was looking through binoculars. The head of Pika still isn't anywhere near the point he needs to be.

Why would Doflaminog not want an advantage when he's up against two guys who beaten a couple of Shichibukai and a few of his allies already. He already said on the bridge that he won't be underestimating the Sh's.

Should Doflaminog tie a hand behind his back because it might be too easy for him ? He claimed he wanted revenge on them, so it makes sense that he is actively hunting them.

I agree with you cali. The trapping of Luffy in the sewer is not very "doflamingo-like" when he is, supposedly, still far from reach and Luffy was going to get to him either way. It may be the clone indeed. Why? I dunno...

I laugh everytime that Luffy calls "Cabage!" LOL

I thought only I felt it odd. Why the hell Doflamingo would care about shortcuts anyway...? And didn't his clone lost his head already?and it started the birdcage technique from within the clone itself. See last panel -
IMO the clone is keeping the birdcage.

Pika was a giant and you are telling me that DD couldn't see him getting his head destroyed by Luffy? And that for someone who has the KD and thus the CoO? And Law is still cuffed. Again why the hell would he go inside a small sewer? Underestimation or not, having beating strong opponents or not, why would DD go into a bloody sewer? If he wanted revenge, then the more logical approach would be to do in public to simply make a statement, not crawl into some small sewer.

Wow amazing chapter, Sabo k*cked some serious ass but please Oda show an actual fight with Sabo & Fujitora xD. Anyways the chapter gets a 5/5 but one question... How did Robin's den den mushi work? I thought that was the effect of bird cage? Or is it that the den den mushi can't work in calling outside the bird-cage?

Edit: Who thought it was gunna be Sanji & the rest of SH's calling or Big Mam calling when Luffy picked up? I thought it was gunna be Big Mam cause Luffy nearly had the same dialogue when he first called her.

Sorry I was a little disappointed in the chapter, with a title like Sabo vs Fuj, I thought we'd see a little more interaction, then a meager sword and pipe clash similar to Zoro and Fuj.

Hopefully next week we'll see more.

The sewer thing kinda of confused me to how the trap was even set up unless the funk brothers are douches. But I feel its another string clone of Doflamingo.

Even though I wish to know everything, I wish Oda would focus on one battle just for a chapter, I want to see Franky beat up Senior Pink, or I need to know about Sanji....

But anyways still a decent chapter, OP still beats Bleach and Naruto in my eyes for this week.

I wasn't saying that he didn't saw Luffy blowing Pika's head off. I said that when he was on Pika's body, he is still a long distance away from the palace. He even arrived behind Cavendish who took the 'long way'. Also I don't think that CoO works like a GPS, in FI Luffy wasn't even able to distinguish Caribou from a monster, so I doubt you can pinpoint people with it.

Not sure what your point is with Law being cuffed is, but if I was a villain and I would be able to trap 2 of the strongest enemies who are devil fruit users in a tiny cave filled with water, I would take it. It's more logical to me than going in public and risking that other people join the fight like the arena people and the strawhats.

Doflamingo is now in a position where he can easily strike down both Law and Luffy fairly easy, instead of waiting on his throne, seeing his kingdom burn, getting law uncuffed and his henchmen die. If doflamingo is able to defeat Luffy he would paralize this entire revolution against him.

Also Fujitora is still a wild card, if he would fight publicly Fujitora might decide to protect the country, don't forget that he wants to get rid of the schichibukai system.

So did the funk brothers betray luffy? They led him to to well/cave
Yes, obviously they betrayed him, because it was a dead end, and they said they found a short cut. You only know if it's a shortcut if you know where it ends.

I already said that Kelly Funk would be fighting against the good guys in a earlier chapter discussion thread. Because he was one of the few named arena people who didn't return.

I didn't think it would be like this, I imagined Kelly using his coat on a big character like Chinjao so that he could control him.

I really loved this chapter.
Sabo's badass!
Dragon grip! *i think lol* I want him to give sight back to the blind Admiral. :D
I like Sabo's personality. He's like Ace, both are so smart.

So, it was a set-up... sending Luffy into a "secret passage"

Re-read the chapter today. When Fujitora's meteor is seen falling down from the sky, and we get a close up of it, we can see Big Mam's huge ship in the background. At least I assume it's her ship. (Page after Sabo grabs Bastille's mask, second panel.)
