Ok, I love Sasuke's character his development is non linear and entertaining. Ppl say that Sasuke's character flip flops, but they couldn't be more wrong. Sasuke is a character that followed a lie and in the beginning shaped his life's objective around that lie.
-Sasuke believed that Itachi killed his clan to test his own ability. Because of that Sasuke sought justice for his departed clan by killing Itachi.
-After Itachi died Sasuke found out that the reason Itachi did what he did was because he was forced to by the village and Itachi only wanted to protect Sasuke. Seeing how the village was the real cause of his clan's suffering Sasuke sought vengeance against Konoha
-After Itachi came back Itachi informed Sasuke that it wasn't just because of Sasuke, but mostly because Itachi wanted to protect the village. Itachi showed Sasuke the depths of his loyalty towards the village and this confused Sasuke and made him want to know what the village actually was and whether it warranted Itachi's loyalty
-When Sasuke saw that his clan's was a necessary sacrifice to maintain the valuable institution that is the village Sasuke is currently endeavoring to make sure that his clan's sacrifice is not wasted by going through with Itachi's will and protecting the village.
All of these crooks and turns that Sasuke made have all been with one purpose, and that is to seek justice for his clan, but as he came to learn more and more about the past what that justice actually meant changed
That all being said Sasuke realizes that the flaws in the system is what caused the situation of the Uchiha to transpire so Sasuke's justice atp means protecting the place that they were sacrificed for and preventing a situation like theirs from transpiring again.
Sasuke's character path is a fine example of how our reality is only what we take to be truth
Sasuke is one of the only characters in this manga that actually takes a brain to understand that is y his character is often taken for granted
OT: I agree, Sasuke has matured a lot and he isn't done either. I am really looking forward to how Kishimoto finishes developing his character.
