I think anyone can gain the Rinnegan.

And to answer Vannx234's question the Uzumaki clan and the Senju clan are closely related. I think married together at one point. Though I don't think the transmigration is bound to only specific clans.

Why? He already found he could awaken it within Madara and focused on him. I don't see this as a reason for Naruto awakening Rinnegan.

All you have to do is mix Indra and Ashura chakra to awaken the Rinnegan. Anyone that's a reincarnation of the two brothers can get it.
