Why are there Obito fans?

I've noticed that there is an existing Obito fanbase on NB, which is very strange to me. To all those Obito fans/fanboys, tell me why you like Obito. From my perspective, Obito almost killed the series for me. Reading the manga had become more of a hassle than a hobby until Madara took control and saved the series *again*.

-With Obito, dozens of panels were wasted on Rin fapbacks and the same old Kakashi team 7 flashbacks we've seen hundreds of times. The "Obito Gidan" was the only readable flash since we haven't seen it before, but through out his fights with the kages and Kakashi, there were just endless amount of filler flashbacks.

-As a character, Obito is just a copy & paste of Naruto. They were both share the underdog story, they both didn't have parents when growing up, they were both friend zone by their childhood crushes, and they're both stupid (Term used by Hagoromo himself).

-The biggest difference between Obito and Naruto is that Obito's personal motives are stupid. Although Naruto's dimwitted, his intentions and motives are honest and just, which makes him likable. Obito motive is, and I quote, "You let Rin die", end quote. I doubt Naruto would go evil if Sasuke killed Sakura back in part one.

-Obito's overall motives as a villain are just Madara's. People ragged on Madara for being an indirect puppet of Kaguya (and they should), but Obito's the puppet at the bottom of the totem pole. #MadaraPuppetMaster, Sasori don't got shit on Madara.

Some people see themselves in their favorite characters, but I don't see anything relatable about Obito that Naruto doesn't have. Unless you've been constantly friend zone for years on end, if so, I apologize. But that's only my perspective, tell me why you guys legitimately like Obito?

It's just a matter of opinion I guess.

For example, you and many other consider Madara to be the savior of this manga but to many others, Madara was just a disappointment.

The same thing is happening with Kaguya right now.


Although there are those who like both Madara and Obito too.

I personally like the idea of "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain"

I do like Obito's character and the idea behind his character but even I have to admit that Kishi overdid it with the whole Rin thing.

Maybe because he was one the few interesting aspects of the manga,i doubt everyone wants to read about Sasuke's shoehorned boring sublot and Naruto's stagnating development.

Even though his motives seem irrational, every character is flawed in their individual obsession.

Naruto wanked off to Sasuke

Sasuke wanked off to itachi

Kakashi wanked off to Obito

Manga to eankers off to yahiko and caltivated his dead body

Madara wanked off to his brother and Hashirama, he cativated Hashi's cells too.

I respected Obito before the mask, he had the power of the top 3 akatsuki member in one (so did Madara)

I don't like Naruto's stupidity. And I know his story is sad but I think Obito's story is on par with it. And yeah I feel my character really matches that of Obito more than that of Naruto.
