Why are there Obito fans?

I respected Obito before the mask, he had the power of the top 3 akatsuki member in one (so did Madara)

Obito historically came first, but chronologically, Naruto was introduced first. And you're right, no character is perfect, but Obito has way too many flaws.

I don't understand why you went on a wank rant and this is not a bash thread. I honestly believe Obito is a bad character and I want to know why fans like him. You guys get offended to quickly.

obito as a kid is great, his villiany with akatsuki is superb, manipulation top notch, ya cant hate rin, hes a mix of naruto and sasuke now. powers are cooool. kakashi gaiden is wonderful, seeing him be full of hope in that cave and then become empty as he saw reality was chilling, he did most of the work in the series then madara came in and solod hardcore which led to his downfall.

Naruto is just too positive for me. I consider myself a tilt more negative. And Obito's right about the ninja-system. It's corrupt. Which can also be associated with today's society... People die of hunger and corruption is at every door. People are greedy as hell... And there's no human on this planet with a pure heart.

I'm simply asking not to be completely biased towards him.

It's like me saying Sakura player no important role since part 1 of the series.

I don't like Obito's Rin fantasy or his constant Rin flashback.

I respected the Obito that was prior to being revealed as Obito.

He was powerful, didn't hesitate, and manipulated so many powerful individuals physically and morally.

The one other thing I don't like is that constant fans using, kamui/inzanagi GG

Like that's the only thing he has.

Also I count Tobi and Obito as two separate characters although they are the same person. When Obito was Tobi, his motives and identity was a mystery which made him interesting, his personality was stoic and goofy tobi is one of the funniest characters in Naruto. When Obito was revealed, his motives seemed very immature to me, and his stoic personality has been replaced with that of an angry child having a temper tantrum.

People have provided me with my answer, and now I know theres credibility to Obito's fanbase. I still don't like Obito, but now I understand why other people do like him.

actually i think the anime is doing a better job than the manga at making him still a bad guy. hes still got a creepy feel to him

obito was owning up until he had to pass the villian torch off to madara for plot. when madara showed up...

The reason is simple, "He is the most interesting character besides Sasuke". He has a depth in his character and a very interesting psychological mind setup. His speeches were so right on spot and the way he got defeated, by himself, with all the conflict going on with his conscious and subconscious mind, was the epitome of psychology in Naruto, even greater than Nagato's defeat.

So yeah, that's why I like him.

The biggest difference between Obito and Naruto is that Obito's personal motives are stupid.Although Naruto's dimwitted, his intentions and motives are honest and just, which makes him likable. Obito motive is, and I quote, "You let Rin die", end quote. I doubt Naruto would go evil if Sasuke killed Sakura back in part one.
