Well, in this thread, there is no need to waste your time trying to say that I am a naruto fanboy because I am really a fanatic of Naruto's character. However, if you are tempted to say that I am a Narutotard, make sure you drop an intelligible argument to make this look like a discussion.
This being said, as the tone of title suggest, I am going to show something that connect Naruto strongly to Rikudo. Here, I am almost trying to deny that Rikudo gave any power to Naruto. My opinion is that Naruto already had his power in an immature state and when His Own Senjutsus was perfected after meeting the SO6P.
I. Unlike Sasuke's fan service power up, Naruto was already strongly connected to Rikudo.
As you can see above, before Naruto met the sage, Naruto already had a power that Kurama called the Six Paths'... This means that Naruto really had something connected to the six paths, or to Rikudo himself even before the meeting. I am not surprised that this something showed up the first time along with a sealing Jutsu. Moreover, it is important to notice that this power is not from Kurama, because we can see that this power is actually a poison to Kurama because it can suppress Kurama's chakra and destroy his bijudama instantly. My guess is that Naruto inherited something, a special chakra, from his mother - something that is like a very tough KKG that will awaken fully later. Remember Kushina could suppress Kurama with her chakra chain, and we know now that these chakra chain are actually an Uzumaki KKG.
Also, I said that Naruto's perfect Senjutsu is his own because Rikudo's Senjutsus is also the same as the toad Senjutsu. The reason I believe this is that Rikudo also knew someone called Gammamaru who gave him prophecy about Naruto. Thus, Naruto is not just Ashura's reincarnation, but was chosen by Ashura because of the quality of his vessel. See below for the evidences as Rikudo says that Naruto is the one who summoned his soul, etc.
In the leftmost middle panel, Rikudo affirmed that Naruto summoned his soul and conclude that Naruto was chosen by Ashura because he has something special.
So a good reading shows that Naruto already had a special power that attracted Ashura to choose him as his reincarnation. What that special power is? I guess it is the same special power that Chyo could sense - a power that can change everything.
II. A better connection of Naruto to Rikudo, even before meeting Hagoromo
Most people think that Naruto did not have the power of the sun mark on his hand before meeting Rikudo. However, I think he did have it. Look at the following two images.
1. Naruto cancelled 5 bijudama with the power that was activated by using Kurama's chakra
2. Rikudo certainly cancelled an attack from Kaguya in the past using the same technique Naruto used above
As you can see, the two posture are the same in Naruto's fight against Obito and Hagoromo's fight against Kaguya in the flashback. While Naruto did not have the current sun mark, if you zoom Naruto's palm in the above image in (1.), you will see that Naruto had a dark mark in his palm with a dark sun mark, or a full moon since it is dark.
III. A matter of Birth
This section will be short. As we all know, Rikudo was born when his mother had the Shinju fruit power. Thus he was born with power inherited from his mother. Similarly, Naruto was born from Kushina who had the chakra of the Kyuubi inside her, and we could say the power of the Shinju as well (even though not quite the same).
So, again, unlike Sasuke, Naruto had one more connection to Rikudo - that is the context of their birth. While many people like to repeat the ignorant statement of Konoha citizen who did not know anything about Naruto, I think Naruto was actually born with chakra as well. That chakra is symbolize by the six marks on his face, Which connect him again to the number 6 as in SO6P.
IV. The other Sun, or the power of two Suns
Yeah. It is clear that Naruto has two suns: (1) his father, and (2) his mother. The question is to know who is the source of Ashura, and what the power of the other sun is. Well, let wait.
V. Conclusion
As I said in the title, this is a 681 warm up. I hope you enjoy how Naruto still has mysteries to reveals about his power.
