I feel that the war arc right now is good but it's just too long. There are also a number of chapters which are rather pointless and nothing much happens in them. I'd prefer it if it sped up a little and if Kishi started answering a few questions instead of creating new ones.

To me the overall manga is amazing, except for the plot holes tho. Fanboys and Troll's exist in every manga it can't be helped.

Some purists claim that the Pain arc was the last good showing of artistry in the manga. what do yall think should the ma nga continue or should it have ended. If so what endind did you want to have. In addition what should the conclusion of the story and its final battle have been

Honestly, this was the best way to close out. The Sasuke vs the Kages arc was a huge let down in comparision, because the build up wasn't there. The war arc was rushed. The 10 Tails arc, rushed. This current arc, tbd.

I'm one of the ones who felt a time skip was needed here, because it would give a bigger payoff when reading.

Ending at the pein arc would be silly imo. There are still things to find out and see. Like who was under the mask, sasukes resolve, why jinchurikis were hunted...
We we even got to see 8th gate
So ending at pein arc would have just been illogical

It would need a lot of tweaking, but yeah Pain would have been a very good Final Villain. Ultimately though, I prefer what we got with the series continuing.
