This is exactly why I actually prefer the Minato fans on this site over the Itachi fans.

Minato fans, though annoying, don't post the same shit every week. You realize this thread is years old. You have said nothing that hasn't been made into a thread a billion times, with no new pictures.

1. Obito beats Itachi fairly easily. Shown equal intelligence, able to instigate a war in Madara's name.

2. Obito being "afraid" of Itachi could mean many things. It could, very well indeed mean he was afraid of Itachi's power, but it also probably means he was scared that Itachi would leak information about Akatsuki to other nations, thus increasing the preparations against them. Being afraid of someone doesn't have to mean you're scared of what they can do to you physically.

And Itachi, being fairly skilled, could probably evade capture from Akatsuki if he were to defect after this, considering Orochimaru and Kabuto were able to.

That moment when an Obito wanker decides to use scans in which Itachi is lying and attempting to paint Obito in a negative light as well as give the fight a purpose ("I want Sasuke's eyes"). And when Itachi does believe Obito is Madara, but bashes him in that same scan and pretty much says he doesn't live up to the hype that he heard of the genuine one.

The entire ninja world was fooled. What you said is the equivalent of saying Naruto and Sasuke with sage powers<MS Obito. Because at one point they believed him prior to his reveal. That's how flawed the logic is here.

1.) They wouldnt hint at Madara being more powerful than they are like itachi did ( when he stated that he'd be the one to surpass madara after attaining eternal light).
2.) They both know that the only people more powerful than they are is Kaguya and rikoudo Madara. They wouldnt give two shits about base Madara.
3.) Youre taking my words are out of context. I said he made Itachi believe he was madara and itachi stated that madara is the most powerful Uchiha, until itachi gains eternal light. Dont twist my words.

The movie came out in 2012. The latest chapter came out last week and it's 2014 atm. Kishimoto has the ability to add on to his story, that's not a bad thing. Doesn't really change the fact that Kishimoto wrote the script and came up with the character designs for the RTN movie.

@bold-Not really tbh. Even with favoritism aside here, Obito's good at genjutsu but he isn't as varied with it as Itachi is. Even Kakashi matched up to his genjutsu in the kamui dimension when they were fighting.

Everyone in the shinobi world bar Kabuto (only knew because he summoned the real Edo Madara), Obito (obviously), and Madara (obviously) knew that Obito was Obito prior to the reveal. I don't see what that has to do with strength here.

Itachi had those insane weapons that could beat anyone apparently, plus his ninja skills were better than Obito before he got his Senju DNA...

Ninja's don't ever reveal their techniques weaknesses... Especially to a guy as smart as Itachi because giving this guy access to your weaknesses almost surely guarantees a defeat.

You don't just say, "Hey, I'm about to use a space-time technique to suck you in, but I have to be solid to absorb you, so feel free to use feints and exploding tags and the like to stop me, or use my eyes "brother" technique (I.E Kakashi's Kamui) to land attacks on me).

You're using a scan in which Itachi is downgrading Obito by saying he's a shell of his former self. Basically meaning he doesn't live up to the hype of the Madara he's read about. Yes, Itachi was lying when he told Sasuke he wanted his eyes, and he provided a reason for that, to surpass Madara. If it's a lie, why should it be taken seriously in the first place?

Edit: All I'm saying here is that a scan like that isn't reliable enough to say MS Obito>>>>>MS Itachi, due to the fact that Itachi refers to the current Obito as a "shell of his former self", and then refers to the one he's read about as an "invincible being" while lying to Sasuke about taking his eyes. :/

I agree with that. However, what's bothersome here is that Obito stated that Itachi could have killed him had he seen his arsenal...from that we can conclude that he actually wasn't stronger.

It is a good thing to keep their arsenals under wraps, however, it's not exactly needed if they're stronger. For example, if Nagato were to show Itachi his arsenal, considering how destructive and OP it is, it wouldn't make a difference and Itachi wouldn't be able to win against someone of that caliber while alive. He would just be overpowered. For Obito, this obviously was not the case.

He didn't say he would kill him, If you know a jutsu you can exploit its weakness. Itachi did not know it so he couldn't. HOWEVER Konan did and she was the only one ever at that point to kill Obito because she knew how his Jutsu worked. But izanagi saved him. Does this mean
Konan is stronger than Obito? No she just can exploit his weakness. Because she knows about his powers and how to counter them

If Nagato showed Itachi his arsenal Itachi would figure out how to counter it. Like how Kakashi did with the 5 second interval, that defeated Pain. But Pain is still many times stronger than Naruto was at that point.

But in a random fight if they had no intel on either one? Obito Gostomps mercilessly..... Itachis chakra reserves are dirt poor. He's nearly blind at the start of Shippuden. After one Amaterasu he can't fight at full power anymore U_U Same with tsukuyomi. While Obito can spam Kamui all day. Has his vision, knows more about the Uchihas secrets and abilities. And has Hashirama healing IF he ever gets touched which he never will U_U
