For him to be at the level that he is at his age is nothing short of genius. Tyler has a wider variety of sounds than any of those dudes you mentioned. He has dark music, funny music, happy music, etc. He can story tell, rap in different pov's, etc. He steps outside the box. Not only that, he produces a lot of good songs too. Only person on your list to do that is Kanye. I don't think any of those dues you mentioned can anything that Tyler can't do.

I wouldn't take anything Mac Miller has to say too serious lol

Idk man, I'm not even a kendrick fan and I think hes more of a genius than tyler. OF is doing pretty good for themselves for being Independant and hell ill admit hes a great director but I wouldn't take any of em more serious that what they are, satire artists. YEA its all funny and somewhat honest but calling him a GENIUS a word that's been used to describe greats like Kanye, Nas, Pun, Pac (shit ide even call Drake a genius) thats pushing it.
Yes, Tyler is a satire artist, but if you're really going to ignore that he has found a way to form allusions between his own life and alter egos, and craft them into songs to form a narrative, then you're letting your predisposition to him bias you.

Can YOU do what Tyler has done? Come on now, you know how hard it is in of itself to just write songs about yourself. Imagine not only doing this, but also rapping about alter egos while giving a reflection of yourself in them. Then, also have these songs not only reflect your alter egos, but connect themselves in a cohesive narrative with these alter egos as characters. The narrative also reflects your life. Can you do it in an original and entertaining way over the span of three albums.

I think I'm capable of a lot more than I've shown you guys and If I said I could ya'll wouldn't believe me anyways but putting him along side the legends of the rap game is a joke, I mean c'mon you're an Em fan, I know you are and it would baffle me if you put Tyler and Em on the same level.

I'm not biased though, share some songs that would ease my mind a little about him. My ears are always open to good music, maybe I just haven't been listening to the right "Tyler The Creator".

I've heard Goblin from front to back, it was whatever. That album stayed in the back seat of my car for a whole year lol

I couldn't stand French so I quit early on the rest of Bastard.

I have yet to listen to Wolf besides Tamale and Jamba.

I'm talking about more than the listening/music aspect. Don't get me wrong, Tyler is't on Eminem's level lyrically. But terms of making a craft, he's done something that puts it on Eminem's level. We're looking at this from more than a bars standpoint, we're looking at this from an artistic standpoint. Look at the links I posted above and read the narrative. You think just anyone can form a narrative from seemingly unrelated songs across the span of three albums by alluding between their actual selves and fictional characters they invented as fluidly as Tyler did? You don't have to actually listen to the songs to see that that's impressive. Look beyond the bars and more at the craft.

So what you're trying to say is this guy is a Em V Slim Shady, T.I V T.I.P alter ego on steroids type of emcee..I'll give him another shot.

If that's what you're into Id suggest youtubing an Artist I met at Teambackpack, he goes by Passionate MC.

This isn't a hype track so you can't bump to it but this is pretty amazing

Are you, like, not smart? Just because there's other people who rap in the same way Tyler does, with the same kind of themes like rape and violence, doesn't discredit him. Horrorcore is a genre, which can include many people. Stop talking like there can be only one person who raps horrorcore.

Tyler also doesn't classify his music as horrorcore because, while fictional, Tyler goes a level beyond that when he raps about rape and violence. Wolf, Goblin, and Bastard, his albums, are supposed to tell a narrative about different people who all have some kind of mental flaw. One of them happens to be demented and violent, and that's the alter ego Tyler is trying to convey when he raps as what you call horrorcore. Tyler doesn't rap about rape and violence just for the sake of shock value, as many people believe, which is why he doesn't classify himself as horrorcore, but for the greater purpose of the narrative. Eminem has used alter egos, such as Slim Shady or Ken Kaniff, but not to form a cohesive narrative the way Tyler does, and that's what sets his use of alter egos aside from people like Eminem, or whatever that guy's name is you just mentioned that raps like Wolverine or Spiderman, the latter of which is vastly different from what Tyler does.
Yeh it does, cuz it's a pale imitation.

He's not imitating anyone though. Every rapper has been inspired by someone else, and molded their own craft after something others have done along with their own creativity. Tyler is doing the same.
Shock value been done before though.
Hip-Hop has reached the point of saturation. It's time for a crossover genre.
