Time will tell, though that doesn't seem anything for both Ichimaru and Aizen. But what I'm wondering is, if it is a mask, it would be a new type. I mean even if he has a mask he's still fighting the Vizards :|

Tousen is a weakling, he got owned by Zaraki in about 30 seconds and zaraki didn't even take off his eyepatch...

I detest this blind dude, he's annoying like a stinky crap which you can't get rid of, he's everything I don't like: arrogant, irritating, weak, gay looking, crazy. He has been given this stupid new power, which occasionally! appears to be far superior than ban kai.

Whyyy Aizen's subordinates have to be soo gay?

ye i also think its a mask BUT a perfected one OR ELSE aizen wouldnt bother doing experiments on himself,gin,and tousen.........

I can see why people would think Tousen is a weakling... But let us not forget that he DID hack off Grimjow's arm without him even having time to defend! Perhaps he wasn't meant to show the true extent of his powers much in the same way that Aizen himself acted rather meek!

As for predictability, Kubo is very much the grand lord of such! I mean for a majority of the seires!... Such plot twists like Aizen were not forseen! However since then, I'm pretty sure, I'm not alone when I say... We all see things coming!

I do honestly believe it is as you say, a perfected Vizard mask, after all, Aizen DID call the Vizards "Shoddy Arancar wannabes!" So yes! Possibly a mask on the lvl of Ichgo's latest mask revealed during The Lust chapters...

But who knows for sure er?!
