"Real" Apex predator undiscovered
So there is a chance that an "alpha" apex predator still exist in the ocean. A 9 foot "tagged" mature female great white sharks microchip washed up recently where the data showed the shark plunge down the continental shelf 1,500 ft. And went from a temperature of close to 30* to almost an instant change to 78*, close to the same time it took another 400+ft dive deeper. Whatever animals stomach it was in then went around the canal for a few weeks then released the feces with the tag near the shore where it drifted back to shore in a few days. This got me so excited :3333

I read that article and from the info I gathered I think that the tag fell off somehow. But we still know more about space then we do about our own ocean so it could be a lot of things. I'm just going with the more practical answer until evidence shows otherwise. But ya it would be cool to discover a new giant species
