Yes, the crusades happened in the past.(between christians,jews, muslims) I am not an expert in history so I don't know the particular details. However, this sort of stuff rarely happens in the modern day age. Islam is one of the few religions with terrorist groups that kill "in the name of their religion". I don't think any other religion has as many groups that do that.(quantity wise) Mentally speaking, these groups are back in the 18th century.

But killing in the name of the god doesnt mean that the religion really tells people to kill. Terrorists just use religion as an excuse, they are brainwashed and twist the teachings.

And the weapons were blessed by christian priests during the world wars, which were waged by christians ! Hitler was christian.

And George Bush declared war on Iraq in the name of god.

None of those people "kill in the name of their religion".(not all the us soldiers are christian) Of all the religions, Islam is clearly the worst in this regard. The hitler example is stupid, since Hitler didnt build his ideology around christianity. In facism and nazizm god and faith WERE NOT the most important things, what counted the most was your country, race and of your leader (fuhrer). In the modern day age, no other religion has as many groups that use brutal tactics like islam.

Edit: Also, christians,jews,buddhists,hindus all kill each other for various reasons. But few do it in the name of their religion.
