Didn't she see Madara beating the edo Hokage and Might Gai? What made her think she really had any chance against Madara? Not to mention, after getting stabbed she was wondering why Sasuke didn't care about her, which makes her look even more stupid. Why play hero and try to sacrifice life, make your friends worry, and fail at the end?

You're right...the manga showed she was stupid when she went to kill Sasuke by herself...since then she has displayed ever increasing rate of stupidity. Couldn't even recognize the face of 4th Hokage at one point. As if her grey matter is plummeting in every arc
