So about IT creating the first Zetsus....

Can we safely say that Madara's method of creating Zetsu's was less about the Gedo Mazo acting as a catalyst for Hashi's DNA and more-so Hashi's DNA acting as a catalyst for the Gedo Mazo?

We know that the Gedo Mazo is the shell of the Juubi and the Juubi is equivalent to the god tree. So perhaps the Zetsu's Madara created took their form primarily due to being connected to the Mazo and not a direct result of Hashi's chakra. Hashi's chakra was more-so the fuel needed to create them (since the Mazo had no chakra of its own).

Perhaps this explains why the Zetsu's were considered clones of Hashi yet looked nothing like him? Makes sense to me, good job Kishi. Thoughts on the matter?

Yeah, i think there was chakra of the victims of IT from kaguyas time remaining... so hashis cells where eniugh to reactivate the progress.

Mmmm I don't think its so much that there was leftover chakra from the victims.... more-so the victims got their zetsu chakra from the tree. Being connected to the tree and all, I thinks its implied its chakra turned them into Zetsu's.

Yes but he implied he created the very first ones. I think what this chapter did was show us that its the Shinju tree that was the original creator of the Zetsus and that the Gedo Mazo had more to do with Madara's Zetsu creation than the Hashirama cells.

Ι think it works like this: he used the dna he had stolen to create Hashirama's clone via Mazo's chakra and once he created him, he used him as the source of the mokuton while Mazo was providing the necessary chakra.

Hmm well yes he certainly did create the one Hashirama clone, but if that clone was the true source then why didn't the later clones look like Hashi? Are you claiming it was the Mazo doing the majority of the work or the Hashi clone? Because I think the clone simply provided the chakra to fuel the Mazo and the Mazo did all the work in creating the clones.

From Madara's perspective, he was connecting Hashirama to the Heretical Demon Statue and using Creation of All Things to clone Hashirama.

What happened is that Hashirama provided the yang to accelerate growth from the statue's branches. The souls Kaguya had collected from the previous Moon's Eye Plan were then injected into those new fruits. Essentially, Hashirama was not clone and acted more like fertilizer.

This explains why Orochimaru's cloning method is so superior to Madara's work...Because Madara never cloned to begin with.

I agree, Hashirama acted as the power source to fuel the production of new Zetsu. Yes, perhaps the only true clone Madara made was the Hashi statue, but after that the Zetsu he created were not actual clones of Hashi.

Well, clones from the Hashirama material would look like Hashirama. I'm also thinking that white Hashirama was the best he could do through a limited Creation of All Things. Hence why Orochimaru's actual cloning was able to attain higher fidelity and power. Why Kabuto was able to power up the Zetsu.

i tried to discuss this earlier... didnnt know there was already a tread on the subject but what really set me off was that in the latest episode when the jubii transforms a lil then madara and obito say " lets use hashiramas dna to better sync with the jubii so we counld control it better" to me means nothing cuz there is no hashi dna... its just random IT victims... but what was said earier in this tread about hashis dna being used as fertilizer makes better sense i guess... its just that with the old theory "senju+uchiha=rinenngan" i was really looking forward to orochimaru getting closer to his goal.

now we know its not senju=uchiha but rather the sages sons chakra that are necessary to awaken rinengan..
