Why is the rinnegan exclusive to those who posses the rikudo's chakra?

You must be registered for see images

The above scan shows that only by combining Ashura and Indra's chakra can one awaken Hogoromo's chakra which gives you the rinnegan.

This is where the problem lies. In the same chapter it was revealed that kaguya possesed the byakugan and the sharingan.

You must be registered for see images

The sharingan and byakugan were passed down to her descendants through blood connections. This lead to the creation of both the uchiha and hyuga clans.

So why is the rinnegan different? Shouldn't it also be passed down by blood to Hogoromo's descendants. Why can it only be awakened by ashura and indra's reincarnations?

It doesn't seem to make any sense.

Thoughts?

I tried to give an answer by my prediction in my Signature. According to it there is only one original set of Rinnegan which was possessed by the Tengu or the Fruit.

Because the Rinnengan was most likely a weaker form of her third eye. In other words Hagoromo inherited a weaker version of the sharingan and Indra inherited an even weaker version (3T)/MS

Sharingan wasn't passed down through her blood line. It was the Juubi's power she got by eating the fruit. Example : Sasuke possessing the Juubi's eye without being a Juubi Jinchuuriki.

There's are some similarities if you can see
Juubi's eye - tomoes + byakugan color = Rinnegan design.

I know it came from the juubi. Everything did. The fact is the sharingan and byakugan were inherited by her descendants where as the rinnegan was not. It can only be unlocked when the chakra of ashura and indra are combined. It doesn't make sense. Why only indra and ashura's power? Why not just have for example senju+uchiha= rinnegan. Why is the rinnegan exclusive to only reincarnations of hogoromo's children and not all their descendants?

Not to mention that there are only two people who awakened the Rinnegan, Rikudou and Madara and the Rinnegan has a connection to the Gedo Mazou.

Well Kaguya had a Byukagan+sharingan which is the strongest doujustu.

It just been split off to 2 different clans.

The sage was directly from the juubi

That doesn't explain anything. Why? because kaguya must have gotten her byakugan and sharingan from the juubi. Since both need chakra to awaken and use. Both her sharingan and byakugan which came from her gaining chakra were passed down to her descendants. This means that the chakra she gained affected her genetics allowing her children to awaken her power. The same is the case for all who inherited KKG. Given this, the same should be said for hogoromo if his rinnegan came from the juubi it should have also affected his genetics and then the genetics of his children and their children's children etc. But it didn't. Obito never awakened the rinnegan despite having both uchiha and senju power.

The question is why should the rinnegan be different why can it only be gained by the reincarnations of hogoromo's sons mixing their power.

Kaguya's power weakened and split. The same was done with Hagoromo. (Indra and Ashura) No generation is stronger than the past (chakra wise) except Naruto and Sasuke
According to the Uchiha tablet its 3T, MS, EMS, and then by gaining Ashura's power you can obtain the Sage's power.

Obito never awakened the Rinnengan because for one he never obtained EMS.

Kaguya had the Byukagan/sharingan before she ate the fruit.

The sage was more of a mutation

Heritage-wise Byukagan and sharingan can only be passed down.

The sage born of the juubi's chakra, which gave him the different outcome of ocular powers.

Indra and Kaguya were not born with the juubi's powers.
^^which explains a lot

Also, Indra was born with the sage's ocular spiritual chakra, if he attained ashura's physical energy too, he would awaken the rinnegan from a 3 tomoe sharingan.

So long descendants like Obito achievement both uchiha/senju kekkai genkai and achieved the sage.'a chakra just like Madara.

The only problem in Obito's case was that he didn't have his full uchiha power.

He would of been able to awaken the rinnegan just like the tablet instructed.

He's still able to use a piece of the sage's powers but not in full power.

I agree that kaguya's power split. The uchiha tablet is wrong about how the rinnegan is awakened. I know this because of what the rikudo said. He said that madara awakened the rinnegan because he combined his power(indra) with hashirama's power(ashura). It is the only way for the rinnegan to be unlocked.

You say obito didn't awaken the rinnegan because he didn't have EMS? I disagree. I will use itachi as an example. If itachi had killed sasuke and had taken his eyes and awakened EMS, and later aqcuired hashirama or naruto's cells he still wouldn't be able to awaken the rinnegan because he lacks Indra's chakra. This once again leads back to what the sage said. Only with both ashura and indra's chakra in one body can one awaken the rinnegan. Why it doesn't make sense is because the rinnegan has nothing to do with bloodline inheritence like the sharingan and byakugan but chakra inheritence. But why should be different?

It is impossible for kaguya to have had the byakugan and sharingan before she ate the fruit simply because she didn't have chakra. Those eyes need chakra to work.

Why didn't obito have the uchiha's full power?

Rinnegan is only chakra cloak that is permanent much like Naruto Bijuu mode. It needs certain chakra to activate the cloak, the cloak has significant power too!

No seriously as I first posted, I find this BS it isn't passed down by blood.

We can't really say whether obtaining EMS is a requirement or not seeing how no one has obtained the EMS except for Indra. I mean the Tablet said that Yin and Yang had to become one, but it says that only after the portion about attaining EMS. TBH, its possible that attaining EMS could also be something that only Indra can do. It could very well be a special bloodline selection much like Torune's micro bugs where only a select few in a clan can achieve. There being only one Indra just makes it really rare.

It could very well be that only Indra is able to reach the true height of the sharingan (EMS) and therefore only he can obtain the rinnengan. Logically speaking Hagoromo did give the tablet to Indra in the first place

The good tree/fruit doesn't have Byukagan.

The sage said she had both eyes, and that when she ate the fruit she had the juubi's chakra.

She wasn't even human to begin with (prior to fruit)

Why didn't obito have the uchiha's full power?

Obito didn't have full uchiha kekkai genkai

Which is both original eyes, and the clans bloodline limit flowing through your vains.

He still had a little piece of the sage's chakra regardless.

The only difference is that to use inzanagi he has to waste an eye

He can use Gedo mazou to a certain degree

To use rikudou techniques/yin yang techniques he would need to use it through the black rod.

When he got the rinnegan, it didn't matter if he got his other eye or not.
