After debating in another thread, I realized that the genjutsu Madara cast is nothing like the Genjutsu he described to Obito. A single page explains Madara's plan for IT quite simply:
To clarify, Madara was planning to create his own IT world and fill it with only things he wanted. This world would be a world where everyone is a winner and no one is a loser. Essentially, each and every person he dragged into the world would be cognizant and would be subject to whatever Madara wanted in his world. They would be sharing Madara's consciousness, if you will.
I just realized however.... that this is completely different than what is going on right now. Madara cast the genjutsu, but each and every person is now asleep in their own personal dream. Each person's dream is unique to themselves rather than being part of one giant dream Madara created. Madara clearly never went ahead and created his own world of winners, rather he simply put everyone else to sleep and planned to essentially rule them from the outside. At least that what it seems to me.
So what gives? Did Kishi change how the IT was created? Or was Madara's explanation he gave to Obito a big lie to hide his true plan of world domination? Clearly what he is doing now is not as noble as his original plan (at least noble in one sense). I'm curious as to other people's thoughts and if you have any other ideas regarding this topic.
