Since there was a lot of talking about who deserves to be FV, I figured I'd make this thread to discuss what makes a villain worthy of being the final one.

Do they have to have a connection to the protoganist or main cast?If so then characters such as Obito and Orochimaru deserve to be in the role of final villain.Obito in particular had been involved in the trageties that plagued 3 of the main characters.

Is it power? If so then Madara or Kaguya deserve to be in the FV spot, since those two are stronger than anyone barring Naruto/Sasuke.

Does the final villain need to have a justifiable reason for his/her villainy? This one is tricky because while I like villains who have depth, I don't believe they need to be sympathetic. The readers/audience should hate the villain's guts and not feel sorry for them.A villain who has good intentions is not a villain but a antagonist, especially if their plans ran counter to what the protoganist is trying to do.

What does everyone think?

I just want a villain that kills every female of NV then the villain gets killed and then how in the world they're going to reproduce, question.

A cool design

Their presence should be mentioned throughout the manga even they were indirectly involved. This would make them relevant to the characters and the time period

Believable reasoning

My opinion:

Final villain should be the one pulling the strings behind the scenes and the plan was originally his. He should have had manipulated top villains to get to where he is. He has the twisted ideals opposing the protagonists and has enough power to stand up fighting to achieve his plan against the world. He should also be someone strong minded about his plan.

Best one to fit the description is Madara. He set up Obito's character downfall and developed him, as well as Nagato into top villains for his plan. He was originally the one who created the ideals of pain, suffering and yin-yang that would later influence Obito and Nagato to what they have become. Right now, Madara has succeeded into killing Obito, revived himself, and gathered everything where he finally activates the Mugen Tsukuyomi. His ultimate plan. Not only that, he is way too monstrous to be influenced by Naruto.

I guess a final villain doesn't need to be so I don't know. Emotionally involved in a way that he affected people by hurting them and making them hate him , like Orochimaru did in part 1. Kaguya is gonna be the final villain most likely, I don't see any good qualities in her that can make her a memorable final villain. I just see an OP monster that desires power.

They have to be responsible for a lot of the problems that the protagonist went through xd they must be fairly important/ well-known and have a great power inside of them

So the top candidates for final villain would be Madara and Obito then. Both are deeply involved in the manga's events,Madara in particular is practically one of the main causes of everything that happened in the story.

Villain for president.

Except everyone would be dying and without any way to replace those that died,I would'nt want to preside over something like that unless I had my own harem or something.

Yup basically. They were the two most prevalent villains in the manga and were both the final villains until Kaguya.

Kaguya, a villain recently introduced, is now taking over as the final villain because of her convenient background. That doesn't sit well with me

To be fair to Kaguya she is the one who caused everything,I doubt Madara would've done the things he did if she was'nt around to make it happen.

That's why i said a villain, a villain that causes a lot of mayor problem, if theres no girl, then the world will die.

As I said, it is a convenient background. Kishi didn't have to write a new character in like that.

Hell, he can also write in a character saying that Kaguya's Mother took control of her body, so Kaguya's mother is the main villain now. Where would it end?

Tobi ended up being Obito. Would people really have been happy if it was a completely new character that had no relevance to the ones already introduced?

I don't think so.

I honestly would rather have had Orochimaru become the final villain over Kaguya because Orochimaru's development and character has been established since part 1.

Kaguya just came out of the blue near the end of the manga. If they started mentioning her earlier in the plot, then maybe I wouldn't have had that much of a problem
