If there was no moon before the gedo mazo was sealed in it. How was IT able to be cast.

If the story that the SO6P created the moon is true. Then IT was only casted after the moon was created, and the SO6P was a jinjuriki or he divided the ten tails into 9 parts.

So the questions are:

Was the moon really created by the Sage of the 6 Paths?
Was IT never casted since there was no moon and after the moon was created there was no more ten tails around ( it was inside the SO6P or divided into 9 parts)?
Or since Kaguya comes from a far an away place was IT casted in a different country (not in the Naruto World Map) ?

that fight could have took place After Hagoromo made the moon, since it's stated in the Manga

Indra and ashura began fighting after Hagoromo choose ashura, and that took place when Hagoromo was in his deathbed

clearly after sealing the juubi on the moon,.
