#1: You don't ask to be a mod, you're chosen.

#2: The Admins will open a section for Mod Applications.

There's a section for these types of questions.

► When the administrators see that they are in need of more moderators, they will open up the moderator applications. If you are interested in applying for the position you will do so there by following the guidelines and template that you will find in that special section.

► What not to do:

-Do not create a thread asking to become a moderator.

-Do not visitor or private message the staff, this is seen as spam and is very annoying.

-When the s/mods say 'no' to you after contacting them to request a moderator's position do not contact the admins.
A good infraction and report record, as well as a history of helping and getting along with others is also great, for many of you, it's too late.

How do you become an Admin then? If a person gives Versuvio 1,000 US Dollars, do they get like a honorable mention or something?
By the way, its never too late to change.
Another question, how do you help others? In what sense?

Becoming an admin...well, in that case the mod has been around for several years and has been promoted, this may be because some tools needed for that mod to complete his/her duties require administrative privileges. Or he/she is a specialist and has been recruited to help the site in some way or another. NB probably won't be getting any new admins for a very long time. Being promoted to G-mod is usually the highest one can go.

OT: So essentially all the Admins of this site run the actual site in terms of servers, maintenance, coding, etc.; while the Mods simply keep things in order?

Well..no, not necessarily. Versuvio and Zise are the only ones that currently do coding and most of the maintenance, Zise is also head of staff. Caliburn is head of RP, he was promoted to admin to take over from Nexus. But yes, mods just keep things in order by enforcing the rules.
