Anime only. All flashbacks were filler, as was her fight with Pain. She got one-shotted in the manga. That was just wrong on Kishi's part. :/

It was connected by Her confession in the Manga by Kishi Himself. Nobody but Kishi Himself decides what is or is not Cannon. Kishi is the creator thus He is the only one to say what is or is not cannon, if you don't like it take it up with Kishi.
