Hashirama - Only Asura reincarnation who always was stronger than the Indra reincarnation and all that due to his powers alone(without Biju), but with a strong senju bloodline and DNA favoring him over most characters

Itachi - A genius with great potential minus the Uchiha bloodline limit favoring him a lot

Tobirama - confirmed creator of 3, possibly 4, techniques. All 3 techniques are OP as heck too. Extremely smart fighter as well.

Itachi/Gai -Itachi's easily one of the smartest fighters in the manga and he was a genius in utilizing his Sharingan and genjutsu techniques. Gai's on there because he worked his ass off and that allowed him to content with Juubi hosts, couldn't care whether he has to die to attain that power, because only Gai can do that. On top of that, he has no access to ninjutsu or genjutsu, making him and Lee probably the most disadvantaged characters in the manga.

Because hard work and battle experience all plays a factor in talent? Itachi wasn't born with the ability to use his Katon techs, he had to work on them. You can't be smart in battle unless you've actually fought.

It still has nothing to do with raw talent. I'm not saying that Gai and Hashirama weren't talented, but this is top3 and from your list only Tobirama should be placed there.

And you're getting mixed up between potential and talent. I find Gai to be an extremely talented shinobi, considering he created his own martial art style and can effectively use all 8 Gates. Just because he had to bust his ass to get there doesn't mean he's not talented, it means he barely had any potential.

Hiruzen is a no brainer, No KKG, No clan with speical chakra and so on. Mastered all forms of shinobi combat 5's in Nin/Tai and gen (only person to do so in the current databooks), Knows all 5 elements and so on.

No explanation needed for itachi.

I would say Madara&Hashirama, but that is incorrect since they possesed Indra and Ashura.

Itachi is quite talented, Guy is complete beast.
