A world war technically doesn't have to have deaths. Think about it: The American civil war was the North vs the South. If not a single soul from the North died and they just totally blew out the south, would that make it any less of a war? No it would not! It would just be a war where everyone from one side survived. Also, what do you expect? Alot of the major characters aren't actually so major in stopping infinite tsukuyomi, so there is no real reason to focus on them or kill them off.
Wars have never ended without deaths on both sides, the American Civil War had casualties in the thousands by the end.

In war people die period, not even the greatest strategic minds today have found a way to prevent people from dying in war.

The deaths we are looking for are characters that we have become invested in. It might sound weird to want characters we're invested in to die, but it's part of what makes the series intriguing. Look at Attack on Titan, one of the reasons that series got so popular so fast was because of the fact that any character aside from the main three, we knew for sure they weren't safe, anyone can die at any time. Unexpected deaths are what we want, we expect fodder to die. Kurenai said the life of a ninja is dangerous and often short, so why aren't we seeing this for some main characters?

Thats the most closed minded mentality/reasoning ive heard. So because attack on titan has characters dying left n right you want Naruto to do the same? Attack on titans whole premise is to play off that concept, the fear and danger. Naruto is meant to play off your feels. Youre meant to connect with the variety of characters because of their humanity they portray. Which is why when events such as Gaaras childhood, Nagatos childhood, obitos past, Hakus past, Sasukes past etc. You empathize and see why they are doing what they do.

You are meant to see things from their perspective and how they grow from it. Not have them die a pointless death. Kishi likes to make everything have a meaning. Not just kill off people to satisfy your bloodlust U_U

While that is the case, that just means that it hasn't happened yet. That doesn't mean that a blowout like this can't happen. Also, plenty of people have died in this war. You people just consider them fodder. If you have a brother and that brother goes to war, it doesn't make it any less of a war if your brother survives and thousands of other people die. The problem is, you people wrongfully say that the war has no deaths when really that is just you guys acting like Naruto's friends are the only participants in this war (and therefore must be the ones to die).

These powers make the war all the more epic! Are you one of those weakling lovers that wants everyone to be weak?

I like characters regardless of their power levels and my fave is weak and I find this offensive :|

In all seriousness, I don't have problems with epic large-scale attacks but I dislike Naruto the savior stuff. I just think it would have been better without the prophecy/reincarnation part, and seriously, if you take just that away the story doesn't really lose anything.

I also think most Edo Akatsuki got trolled during the war, while Guy and/or at least some of the Kage should have died. But otherwise I'm actually liking it, at least as of late.

I actually love the war,and i think theres been enough death in it,i dont care if important characters didnt die.The 5 Nations gathered ~80k shinobi, during the 1st day they lost about 50% of that, and by now theres probably 10-20% shinobi remaining, the nations are already crippled a lot by the large ammount of people lost and their power has went down consideraly(im not factoring Naruto/Sasuke in this),i think that at the end of things the shinobi nations might unite into 1 big nation and finally achieve world peace i think, that would fit the story nicely since the S06P did wish to unite the world.

that post wasn't about killing everyone but it was an example of how war should feel and the war in Naruto doesn't have that feel at all there isn't any drama just power up after power up. When naruto and sasuke were down you knew they would be alright.

at the bold how do you feel for character that's not featured or you know close to nothing about. in part 2, what relevance does neiji have to naruto, the star of the show whom he has barely spoken to since his return to the village from training with j-man.

in all honesty this war should have been a tournament edos vs naruto's clones then people would be less disappointed. People keep saying that a lot of people showed a lot of development if that was the case why was naruto fighting on just about every battlefield and having to save everyone.

Another thing that really urked me was all the rules that we learned about being a ninja, chakra usage, and techs all went out the window. Like if you lose bijuu you die but all of sudden if you put back inside they can live, or if you renne tensi you but obito can both around talked to people and hang out. Kakashi should have dead about 2 months ago our time. And everyone survives for no reason like all the kages they should have all been killed except Gaara to give room for REAL development because somebody would have had to something real significant to replace the previous kage. Other than naruto, kakashi, sasuke, and Guy nobody has really done anything in this so call war

They way that this so call war is going Madara isn't even going die, he'll be saved by someone somehow

I think it is alright but there are a few things that left me thinking meh.

1. None of the Gokage died. They haven't done much at all since they got back, except Gaara and arguably Tsunade for the healing.
2. Neji died stupidly, could have used his rotation technique.
3. Obito's change of heart was quick but it was okay.
4. The other edo's sealed too easily.
5. Dat 3rd raikage death was derpy as frig.
6. Madara's "this was all my plan." It wasn't, it makes no sense that everything goes perfectly nothing does. Ever. Period.
