Ging is the father of the main character in Hunter x Hunter Gon. The main story of the series is Gon finding his dad(like in Naruto how Naruto wants to be Hokage, or Luffy the Pirate King). And he's just an awful father, here are five reasons why.
1. Left his son as a baby with his cousin so he could go enjoy life, but leaves a message for gon when he gets older.
2. Is world famous for being such a great person and father figure to everyone he meets. Everyone except his son.
3. The message he leaves for his son is "I'd be to ashamed to see you and don't want to see you, but you can catch me if you can".
4. Trolls his son every arc by leaving clues for him that he knows won't lead back to him.
5. Tells everyone he knows who might meet his son in the future to give him a hard time.
I'm sorry I had to let that out, he just sucks. I don't see why the main character would even want to meet this douche.
