Self Created Techniques: Self created techniques are jutsus created from the user's own body or mouth, it's a simple method by using your own body and not the earth source around or beneath/near you.

Description: The user creates their clone out of stone that he spits from his mouth. Unlike other types of clones the rock clones don’t disappear after being defeated but rather crumble like rubble. These clones can also be used to create a clone of other people than themselves but do not take on the abilities of the copied person. They can use up to C-Rank Earth techniques and are very resistant to physical damage such as that from Taijutsu which they can endure up to B-Rank.

"Ho~ So you're quite familiar with earth techniques already, very perceptive. However your level of description is pathetic. When we get to the next method I'm going to expect more from you. Now listen up. There are a few key concepts in this one method alone that I want to make very clear so pay attention!

First there are the three core types of techniques in this method; Full Body techniques, isolated area techniques, and projectiles and other body exiting methods. These are types of technique that are in this method. While you are correct in saying that these techniques do not use a source of earth it is important to understand the mechanics of the techniques you're using as well. Full body techniques and isolated area techniques are two parts of the same whole. In the former you release doton chakra from every point in your body for a specific purpose; this purpose is usually to create superficial armors to give you protection and/or strengthen your offense on some other areas such as taijutsu. Isolated area techniques are similar however they only focus on releasing chakra and creating earth one on area of the body. The Fist of Rock technique that you gave an example of is one example of an isolated area technique.

Now projectiles and other techniques that exit the body are excreted from the body in different ways, usually the mouth. It focuses on channeling chakra through the centerline of to release to through the mouth or, in the cases you're releasing from another point in the body like your hand, you channel the chakra from the core into your hand and release them through that medium. Needless to say there are various ways in which you release chakra in this one method alone so keep that in mind. That being said there are a few advantages and disadvantages to these techniques specifically when it comes to projectiles and full body techniques.
