Ok, hey everyone. After the last chapter that was released this week I think it’s finally time to pull a small analysis together on instant regeneration specifically attributing feats that we have recently gotten to Tsunade and to possibly show you that she was telling the truth about all she said that her jutsu could do.

First I think I should first enlighten you guys on how Tsunade’s instant regeneration works.

See here she says how her jutsu works and then she proceeds to say that she can reconstruct limbs or organs via regeneration.

At this time through just creation rebirth she was able to regenerate these things:

-impaled heart

-sword to her side and shoulder

-Chakra scapel damage done by kabuto

That’s just something to note.

Now to shippuden, Tsunade stepped up her game in this part of the series showing that she is able to use a more advanced stage of the technique she boasted in part 1 known as byakugou no Jutsu. This justsu basically provides the same thing as Creation Rebirth but it’s continuous and heals all her wounds as long as she has chakra to perform the technique.

In spite of her getting this upgrade people have still underrated her ability and her as a kage when really this technique has proven to be very helpful to its user. So now I will show why Tsunade does indeed deserve the hype of her healing.

Gokage vs Madara

In byakugou mode Tsunade joined the fight with her fellow kage against Madara and in this fight she was able to take considerable damage and recover fully.

She was able to survive these types of damage:

So we can see that Tsunade has been able to tank a few difference techniques via her regeneration jutsu. We should see she has clearly proven that she can reconstruct Organs and just her damaged body in general.

I am not going to try to prove the part where she claims she can reconstruct limbs.

Let’s first go back to what Madara has said:

He basically tells us that Hashirama and Tsunade both possess the ability to heal without handseals and presumably the same way as we have seen and Madara experiences both first hand.

Now during the period Madara took Hashirama’s healing ability he acquired some feats with them that I strongly say proves Tsunade’s jutsu can reconstruct limbs.

Before I get to that part let’s look at some things Madara regenerated from that are notable.

He took a beating from all the bijuu and landed in a bath of Saikens acids.

He was also able to use the arm of a zetsu and stick it in place of his arm where the jutsu healed it and mended it to his body. This makes me see that Tsunade if ever lost a limb could avoid having to regrow it and put it back together via her jutsu by retrieving the lost body part.

Now onto the regrowing limbs, the part of the post whoever stuck around this long is waiting for. Now I know that Juubi host Madara is the one in these panels, but there is nothing to hint that the Juubi jin can pull off instant regeneration nor did he lose the ability he absorbed from hashirama becoming the juubi jinchuriki.

We can see the arm reforming from nothing on Madara! This is incredible and something I missed on my first viewing of the chapter. Thanks to a certain someone on NB AGoodBoy I was able to conclude that Tsunade was not just hyping her jutsu.

It even reminds me of something improved to what Shizune did to Neji to refill a big whole in his body:

Except she wouldn't need a medium.

Now to be realistic, to regrow a whole arm must take a huge amount of chakra. So I decided to try to put together a theory on how many times Tsunade could realistically regrow a lost arm that she cannot retrieve and stick back on herself.

When Tsunade was fighting Madara her chakra feats are as follows:

-She used Creation Rebirth upon coming to the scene

-She restored Gaara and Onoki’s energy via healing them

-She healed Mei

-She activated her byakugou and proceeded to tank several jutsu.

-She fought 5 susano on shortly, and off panel where she probably received similar damage to what we saw.

-She gave onoki chakra to power a jinton capable of taking out all 25 susano clones

-She tanked his katon jutsu as a last resort.

Tsunade having done all of this, managed to maintain the byakugou long enough for it to change from day to night and so I can say she must be able to get at least 5+ hours out of byakugou no jutsu (tell me what you think) which is incredible to even think for a jutsu that requires so much chakra just to use and heal the smallest of wounds.

Tsunade’s chakra pool is monstrous. I think it is safe to say that in a real fight scenario Tsunade could possibly regenerate a lost limb 1-2 times, pushing her limit to 3 times before diminishing her chakra pool.

I think that 2 times is pretty good considering the probability of losing limbs is not very high. Hope everyone enjoyed reading my slight analysis on instant regeneration. Thanks for reading!

P.S If you might think it's not right to give Tsunade Madara's feats with Hashirama's abilities, I believe that instant regeneration is just what it says and there should not be more variation in its capabilities.
