If Mei were to attack Tsunade with lava while Tsunade charges at Mei, Tsunade either gets hit or forced to run sideways or backwards. If Tsunade does manage to change the direction she is running, Mei can simply change the trajectory of her attack by moving where her face is directed and pour lava in the direction Tsunade is running. Once Tsunade gets hit, whatever skin that is exposed to lava will melt and seep through inside her body where all the blood and water will instantly get evaporated. Then Mei can harden the lava inside Tsunade's body, which would block Tsunade's movements and vital body functions, thus killing her (

This will allow Mei to finish Tsunade off with lava.
