Which character has a more complex backline story behind him?? And Why??
- Naruto
- Sasuke
- Itachi
- Gaara
- Nagato
- Other (Who??)

Itachi is my favourite but i actually picked Sasuke. Off course both are directly related.its a given dat its itachi
It's still the back story of his persona. A very sad one at that.its between sasuke and gaara, itachis life was a mystery not his backline story
yea now dat u mention i say Rock Lee 2...but i woodnt say Nagato's was borinI say Rock Lee has the best backstory. A ninja that can't use ninjutsu (ninja techs)? But wants to become acknowledged for his taijutsu so he trains like a freakin animal under a Sensei who understands. Thats amazing. Genius of hard work. Greatest title.
The whole Uchiha thing is lame. Itachi shouldn't have betrayed his clan. The Uchiha's shouldn't have betrayed Madara in the first place. A warrior people in peace times is a useless people. Sasuke's whole living for revenge-crybaby-emo-I'll-kill-them-all-cuz-the-one-I-hated-but-now-love-wanted-peace-and-they-ruined-it... yeah thats lame too.
Nagato's story was boring, I wasn't interested at all. And Naruto is the main character so of course he has the most developed story... but its not as cool as Lee's.
THE POWER OF YOUTH!
I disagree. I think Itachi had the best back story, and I don't think it's that easy to say he was wrong for betraying his clan. He wanted peace which is a noble goal. Itachi's back story also seems the most complex to me because all the twists and turns it has taken throughout the manga. One thing I will say: I thought Sasuke was a moron for wanting to destroy Konoha after Itachi died. It was like he didn't understand what his brother had fought and died for at all. Sure Itachi died to protect Sasuke, but he also lived his life trying to bring peace to Konoha.I say Rock Lee has the best backstory. A ninja that can't use ninjutsu (ninja techs)? I voted Itachi but basically meant Itachi and Sasuke since they are connected. Naruto did have a bad childhood but I believe having bonds and having to sever them and or lose them is more painful than never having them in the first place. Someone above me said something about Itachi shouldn't have betrayed his clan, well I flat-out I disagree with this statement. Itachi grew up during the third great ninja war and was emotionally scarred and due to seeing numerous deaths decided to live the rest of his life as a pacifist. Years after the incident with the Kyuubi being let loose on Konohagakure the Uchiha clan were suspected of being the culprits and were led to believe Madara was right all those years ago about Hashirama wanting to oppress their clan and decided to plan a coup de etat for their own safety. Itachi disagreed and went to Konoha with the plans his clan made and was ordered by Danzou and Sarutobi two advisers to massacre his entire clan against the Sandaime's orders. They knew that Itachi only wished for peace and exploited this trait of his for their benifits. Itachi ultimately decided to take these orders to prevent a war from breaking loose and did it to protect the shinobi world and his village. Itachi didn't kill Sasuke because he loved him and instead painted a path of vengeance for Sasuke to take so that he would seen as one who brought pride back to the name of Uchiha. Although I do believe he thought Sasuke wouldn't have been to give up on revenge and installed his fail safe in Naruto as a last hope. One thing I will say: I thought Sasuke was a moron for wanting to destroy Konoha after Itachi died.
"Moron" is probably too strong a word, you're right. I didn't say Sasuke was stepping on what Itachi had worked for on purpose, though. It's true that Madara was manipulating Sasuke--using his terrible emotional state to control him. However, I'm disappointed in the decision Sasuke made. He could have chosen to simply kill the 3rd's aides and Danzou, but he makes it sound as though he wants to destroy the entire Hidden Leaf. In this way, he is stomping on Itachi's work. Fortunately, Itachi implanted a fail-safe in Naruto. We don't know what it is, but it's there.

Anyone who says are the Uchiha clan are evil and deserved to die are quite wrong because the Uchiha clan turned against Madara from the point he became obsessed with power and only decided to take his words to heart when the were being suspected as the ones who let out the Kyuubi. Supposedly, Uchiha Madara is the one who planned all these events and let Kyuubi loose so that the Uchiha would be forced to plan a coup de etat leading Itachi to side with the elders on taking out the clan which would all serve as perfect payback against Uchiha for turning their backs on him. Even after Itachi's death Madara then ate Sasuke's mind when he was vulnerable after the ?truth? was told to him. Sasuke isn't a moron because it isn't like he is purposely stepping on all that Itachi wanted to protect but rather is being decieved by Madara and was put to believe that Konohagakure are the villians and regardless of them not being the villains the elders, Danzou and Madara for that matter aren't innocent and all deserve to die because they will continue to corrupt Konoha if no action is put against them.
