[Discussion] lightning cloak or sage mode?

suppose sasuke likes the raikage's lightning cloak and tries to imitate it then

gets into fight with naruto who will be using sage chakara who do you think

will be stronger??

There's not really much that really separates them except it seems that you can hold the lightning cloak longer which is why Naruto is working on increasing Sage mode usage. If we're just talking Sasuke using it against Naruto then his FRS would eat right through it though the cloak would make hard to catch Sasuke off guard.

I think it is a draw. Even though lighting cloak has more drawbacks, weak against wind and chakra. Versus Sage Mode which is limited by the amount of energy you can gather. Naruto beats the Lightning Cloak through his wind, unless Sasuke can learn how to mix fire in with the lightning.

Even if he can learn how to mix fire with lightning and use Fire/lightning cloak, and naruto uses FRS, sasuke would not just be cut in two, he would be burned alive.

so naruto whirls on of those up in sage mode...job done

as for the time he has to fight with sage mide...he could just pop off 2 or 3 clones to go gather sage energy in the corner...sas-gay is hardly good enough to beat naruto with his clones gathering natural energy...as far as im concerned...

i dont think so. for me it's more pain > sasuke >= naruto >= kage > jiraya (at least raikage)

i like the idea of sasuke using the lightning cloak, which would be a replacement for cs, but i dont think that kishi will choose that way. sage mode seems to be a littlebit more effective but is time-limited. sasuke is faster than naruto without adds, so he should be at least on the same speed-level with lc, if not faster, which would take away naruto's only real advantage at the moment.

whether your a sasuke fan or naruto fan(im neither...i loath fanboys)....which ever side u wud b rooting for...if sage naruto fought sasuke with the lightning cloak...n sasuke somehow used sasuno(jus an example) to protect the ligtning cloak from naruto's wind chakra.........that would b an EPIIIIIIIIIIC battle....that wud be better thn any kage battle.

SageModes uberness is offset by its time limit.

Still, if Naruto channels a bit of sage chakra/ Natural energy into Sasuke's cloak then it might turn Sasuke into a frog statue.

I think that specific abilities make some opponents better for others than other opponents do. Like if Sasuke could beat Naruto, that doesnt mean that he could be Sakura (well yeah, it does in this case. But you get my point). Naruto>Pain>Raikage>Mizukage=<Sasuke.
Lets face it though, Sasuke most likely could beat Jiraiya at this point. I love J-man. One of my favorite characters, and I dont have any paticular attachment to Sasuke. Actually, Naruto is my fav character cause he's got some guts and pulls a lot of surprises out of his ass and blah blah. At this point, Jiraiya would have to be able to counter Susanoo. Remember though, in Naruto they make it so the next generation surpasses the previous...usually. Sasuke and Naruto are def. the two who are up to it.

I would have to say that Naruto would win. Let's forget about the power to jutsu's and look at the users. Right now Naruto knows alot more about Sasuke, then Sasuke knows about Naruto. Sasuke doesn't know how to counter FRS because he has no knowledge that Naruto can do that. Sasuke doesn't have a scouting report on Naruto, that Naruto has on him. Naruto knows that when Sasuke uses any lighting(raiton) based jutsu he can throw FRS or any wind based attack at it. Plus Kakashi has been preparing Naruto to fight Sasuke's raiton jutsu. Sasuke's not the Sasuke he once was, he's turn into Naruto charging in head first trying to overpower people,and Naruto has become the tactician. Sasuke's loses his cool and try's to overpower Naruto I see him getting damaged quickly.

Naruto needs to infuse wind chakra into his Sage Mode aura and then learn to airbend like Aang.

But either way sage mode wins once Naruto learns to hold more natural energy.
