Well, for one thing your post says " I cancel out armour to do Hardening " meaning you lose the speed advantage,, and for the second thing, by the time you chuck the lance at me, and I go underground, the wave would probably have collapsed on you ( or atleast be so near to hiyying that you cannot do anything else )

i personaly think Kriabi has avoid it. Yeah, the lake is on the right side but emp didnt state that the wave would cross the battlefield, at least, me, that isnt fighting, assume that the wave was directed at Kirabi, in a diagonal direction, so it would only hit Kirabi, but Kirabi used that lightning jutsu to ran to the spot where Emp was so teachnicaly he is on the spot where Emp used his jutsu.
Emp, as i said didnt state if the wave crossed the field from right(where the river was) to the left so i think he aimed it to raikage, in a diagonal direction (otherwise emp would get himself hit by the jutus) but since Kirabi is now on the palce where Emp used the jutsu, i think he avoided.
Thats just what it seems for me, since emperor didnt state anything, just spammed the jutsu xD

Lol, true, but when you look at it, the wave is not exactly a linear technique that only hits him - the spill over from the technique ( massive water, forbidden rank ) will easily take him. xd

yeah but he was on the spot where you first used the jutsu. We can take in principle that your not use something that big that will hit you xD
So he escapes. Thats just my opinion, im not taking anyone's said. I would say a re-do, just to clear things U_U
He used a jutsu to avoid it so he canNice conclusion! But the stupid rules say we can't dodge like that...
Lot's of ppl use like Hurricane Fist agains the ground so they can go high in the air to avoid earth spikes. Doing that you are avoiding the spikes, not blocking them and still that move is valid.
