Two men sit at a table, drinking tea, a small baby in the corner is playing with a shape sorter, placing all the shapes into the correct slots, without a second thought.
Minato: Hah, how old's the boy?
Shikaku: Oh you mean little Shikamaru? He's just a couple of weeks older than your boy
Minato: He shouldn't even be able to sit up at that age
Shikaku gestures towards the floor. Minato looks down to see a thin dark shadow leading from Shikaku, to the baby
Minato: Oh, ahaha you're not solving the puzzles for him as well are you, ahahaha
Shikaku: No, that's all him, it's the only way I can stop him from sleeping all day every day
Minato: Aren't new parents supposed to have trouble with their kids being awake too much?
Shikaku: Yeah you would think so, that boy is sharp as a kunai, but he's also bone idle
Minato: Well I'm sure he will become a great shinobi, and a fine friend to Naruto
Shikaku: I sincerely hope so, although I also doubt it, If he continues like this, he sleep through until his retirement, and then he will spend his retirement sleeping as well
The two men laugh heartily, something which seems to irritate the baby, although doesn't push him to tears.
Shikaku: Fugaku seems to be taking a little longer than expected
Minato: Yeah, I hope he's not having any trouble finding the place
Shikaku: I doubt there is anyone who knows the village better than him
Minato: Here he comes now
As Minato finishes his sentence, there is a knock at the door
Yoshino: The leader of the Uchiha clan is here to see you Shikaku
Shikaku: Yes we were expecting him
Yoshino: Well it would've been nice if you could let your wife know!
Shikaku: Yes dear, my apologies
Fugaku walks in, carrying something across his shoulder
Fugaku: I apologise for my tardiness, but I ran into a little distraction
He throws the body of the foundation member onto the table, who lands with a heavy thud
Shikaku: Yoshino take Shikamaru into the next room
Yoshino: Excuse me Shikaku Nara!?
Embarrassed, Shikaku says
Shikaku: I mean, er, could you take Shikamaru into the next room please dear, this is no place for someone so young, please
Yoshino: Of course my dear, come now shikamaru
The woman makes a Rat hand seal, and her shadow stretches to the child, as her shadow reaches the baby, the other shadow leading to his father, returns to it's source. The woman then walks out of the room, and the baby somehow follows after her, in perfect synchronisation
Minato: And who is this you have brought us?
Shikaku: A member of the Foundation by the looks of it
Fugaku: Correct, this here is Takuto, I caught him and a buddy of his trying to kill young Kakashi
Minato's eyes widen with shock
Minato: When you say "trying"
Fugaku: The lad is fine, I killed the other foundation member, and caught this one in a genjutsu. Kakashi would've been enough to deal with the pair of them, if he hadn't let himself be taunted into being wounded
Minato: Where is he now?
Fugaku: I have left him with some of the members of the Konoha Police Force
Shikaku: Not anbu?
Fugaku: Can't be too careful nowadays can you
Minato: Quite right, I shall be back momentarily
Within a blink of an eye, the blonde man was gone, and reappeared at the side of a young man
Kakashi: Sensei!?
Minato: Kakashi, how are you?
Kakashi: I am fine, I think my pride is more injured than my body
Minato: what were they after?

Kakashi hands the Hokage a scroll, which he managed to convince one of the young members of the Police Force to give to him. Minato opens the scroll and begins to read.
Minato: This.... this is a warning to Danzo, informing him of what we discussed. It's as I feared, I can't trust them.
Kakashi: I take it the anbu will be handling this, I will be fighting fit again in no time, let me be a part-
Minato: I don't think there will be many anbu involved in this
Kakashi: An operation like this will require many hands sensei
Minato: I'm not senile just yet Kakashi. Excuse me are you the medic? *Minato addresses the young lad stood at the end of Kakashi's bed*
???: No sir, I was chosen to guard Kakashi Senpai until he is fit to leave
Minato: You're awfully young to be a member of the Police force, how old are you? and do you have a name?
???: I'm 8 sir, and my name is Shisui Uchiha
Minato: Well Shisui, I am very impressed that you have been accepted into the police force at your age
Shisui: Well It's my first week, I'm not even officially an officer yet, I'm still in my training phase. My Sharingan is not fully developed yet either.
Minato: Well all in good time young Shisui, thankyou for guarding my student, it means a lot to me. Get well soon Kakashi
With a wave of his hand, Minato once again vanishes only to reappear in the same well kept room, back at the Nara house.
Minato: I trust everything we say in this room, is kept in this room?
Minato takes a seat at the head of the table, with Shikaku on one side of him, and Fugaku on the other
Shikaku and Fugaku in unison agree to this.
Minato: Good, I will be dissolving the Foundation.
Shikaku: What? Are you serious?
Minato: Deadly
Fugaku: I have to say, I totally agree with this decision
Shikaku: I can understand, reinstating a new leader of the Foundation, or some other alternative, but to completely dissolve them.... they do a lot of good for this village
Minato: I cannot trust them, not any of them. They are all a risk to me, and the others of the village. Fugaku, it was Danzo's decision to keep the Uchiha's at arms length during the Ninetails attack
Fugaku seems to anger at the memory of this humiliation
Minato: He was given that authority by Lord Third, in a hast decision, under pressure. I hope you can forgive him.
Fugaku: It is Danzo I am angry at, not Lord Third, what use is it, holding a grudge against a dead man?
Minato: Thank you
Shikaku: Lord Hokage, you call me the sharpest mind of the village, I assume such a great honor is based on my own merit

Shikaku: Then please listen to me, to take out the foundation would cause a rift in the village's man power, not to mention leave a huge absence where missions are regarded, as well as intel and just basic fear amongst other villages
Fugaku: The Hokage cannot have an army of the most highly trained killers living under his roof, when at any second they could turn on him and take him out, use your head Shikaku, Having Danzo seize control of the village would be far worse than losing the foundation
Shikaku: Then how about we send a message, an assassination perhaps. If we kill Danzo, make it so they cannot prove any foul play by us, but at the same time, know full well it was us
Minato: You mean kill Danzo?
Fugaku: It would not be that simple, we would have to kill anyone who could possibly take his place and continue his goals
Minato: Well we can't trust the elders anymore, not as my advisors, or even as members of the village. We mustn't forget that they too were high ranking ninja of the time of the Second Hokage, they are just as much of a threat as Danzo, Jiraiya sensei is doing some rummaging around in their intel as we speak, I shall send a toad to him, and have him put together a list of shinobi it is necessary to deal with
A puff of smoke fills the room, and as it clears we see a rather large toad sitting on the desk
Fugaku: What the!? I didn't see you make any hand seals, or even blood sacrifice
Minato: It's a reverse summoning, Sensei must have found something of interest
Kenji: Hey Minato, what's this squishy thing I am sitting on?
Minato: That is Takuto
Kenji: Oh it's a person I'm so sorry *The toad begins to get off the unconscious man*
Minato: Don't bother moving, he's no friend to the village
Kenji: Oh, it's like that huh? Wow this place is turning into a bad neighbourhood
Minato: Yeah I'm working on it, I assume Jiraiya sensei sent you?
Kenji: Yes, he said this would interest you deeply
Kenji hands Minato a scroll, and he begins to peruse it
Shikaku: What does it say?
Minato: Fugaku...
Fugaku: Yes Lord Hokage?
Minato: I want you to gather your Police Force, and I will send you a few select members of my anbu, who will be under your command
Fugaku: What for?
Minato: You're going to crush the foundation.
