What's this Hiruzen Hype about?

People are saying that he knows all jutsu and I have absolutely no idea where this is coming from because I highly doubt he did/does, otherwise he would've smacked Orochimaru. Can someone explain?

Once again I will explain why he is so powerful. The third man to share the title "God of Shinobi" alongside 2 beasts (Hashirama Senju and the Sage)

Learning the skills and knowledge from the 1st and 2nd, Hiruzen was able to get the village through 3 Great Shinobi World Wars. Having the longest reign of Hokage. 40+ Years.

-An Old 5% Hiruzen sealing both 25% Edo Hokages with clones in complete darkness. Don't care how weak the Hokages were. Hiruzen was in a far off worse condition to fight. This is an excellent feat.

-A battle exhausted Hiruzen with a part of his soul left easily disarming Orochimaru and speed owned him behind his blind side to catch him in close range. You can easily see with these scans that Orochimaru was actually pushed to try at the last second and looked quite frightened. This is THE Orochimaru who without arms was playing around with 4 Tailed Naruto.

Using these scans, It would be possible that if Orochimaru didn't have his Edos, he would have been easily killed by Hiruzen.

- While having the sword of Kusangi pierced through him, Hiruzen was still able to hold Orochimaru's soul with the Reaper for an 1 hour long showing extreme willpower!

-The Hokages are easily praised by both Naruto and Sasuke. The statement obviously includes Hiruzen. By Sasuke's own admission. " Looks like they're not just talk after all" should be enough.

Can use all of Konoha's non KKG techniques which includes the Ino–Shika–Chō with Kage Bunshins.
Despite many on the Base saying that he cannot, Manga disagrees as Orochimaru (Hiruzen student) states his ability for "Knowing and being able to use all the jutsu that exist in the Leaf"
This includes mastery over all 5 elements to a godly extent and mastery of all forms of shinobi combat.

Proof. Here Hiruzen is clearly able to use the Inuzuka Clan's enhanced sense of smell as shown in this scan.

Therefore proving that Hiruzen is able to use all the techniques in the village which includes the famous Ino–Shika–Chō which can be easily used by Hiruzen with clones. =D

-Prime Hiruzen can completely negate all Ninjutsu using Technique Neutralizer.

He did smack Orochimaru, though... He beat him so bad he couldn't use any jutsus for the next four years.

Many characters have confirmed that he knew thousands of jutsu, allegedly all of Konoha's jutsu (those that can be learnt anyway, kekkei genkai are excluded obviously).

Orochimaru, a student of his even says the he knew all jutsu, I believe that's where his obsession came from and that's why Hiruzen cared so much for Oro even though he was kinda evil and crazy, cause he was actually striving to be like him and learn all jutsu, but he also wanted to live forever Hiruzen also posses all chakara elements which is extremely rare and impressive considering he does not posses the rinnagan. =D

If he's able to use all of the jutsu in the village I would've used the 6th/7th gate against Orochimaru. On top of that, he can't use the Rasengan and that was around a long time ago thanks to Minato.

Gates require your body to be strong and able to withstand the pressure and strain the gates put on it. A 68 year old man won't be able to use the gates.

Doom will give you his honest answer which is also true. The panel of him being said as "The God of Shinobi" was nothing but hype. I think Kishi intended for every Hokage after the previous one to be slightly stronger.


Ex: Minato>Hiruzen>Tobirama>Hashirama.

What people fail to see is that Kishi did a retcon. Which is a recent chance in plot to change focal points of plot in the past. Minato was also said to be the greatest shinobi Konoha ever produced. But he died. So Hiruzen's old ass was given the title. So now currently we have manga proof that Hashirama was the strongest Kage ever just so he could be relevant to the Final Villain Madara. But fans of the old geezer fail to know what a retcon is and just rely on any small feat they get to fanboy about. This is why I find Hiruzen annoying because of his nutty fan base.
