Wow talk about infuriating. Do you guys even know the slightest thing about graphic design? Editing the lighting of these pictures? Are you guys totally blind to this guy. He isn't doing jack shit to any of these works AT ALL. Of course I wont see a lot of other people doing what hes doing because they know how not to rip off other people and be so uncreative that they cant create their own art from a render or stock.
IF this guy wants to prove hes anything, why not take a clear render by itself and create a whole art out of it. Can't do it? Then let people know you are lying to their face with "your" art and give respect and credit where its due.
The lighting is different. It's more noticable in the last, the green on her face is not near as bright as it is in the pic you showed. The lighting changes to the other avatars are more subtle, and I honestly doubt you're going to be willing to accept such changes are present.
However, you're seriously misunderstanding the concept. You have an avatar right now, a cropped/resized one (still different from the original pic), that's like saying you should credit whoever is the designer behind that somewhere in your sig/status/usertitle. Avatars are for personal enjoyment, those who GFX (or have a basic understanding of whatever photo editor they're using) simply touches the pic up to their own/others liking and then use it. No one other than you believes she created this art from scratch.
To give you a better idea, say if someone wanted their username in the avatar they're using, they or someone else will simply add the text. Lighting, texture, effects follows the same principle. Unless it states somewhere in the thread, it's understood that the poster didn't create the art from scratch.
To give a simple scenario of the concept behind avatars, I provide you with the following:
First person: Hey, can someone make me an avatar out of
You must be registered for see links
? Maybe add your own effects/touch it up?
Second person: Sure,
You must be registered for see links
, let me know if you want anything else done to it.
Sometimes the first person may even request to keep it as it originally looks. And this, is the concept behind creating avatars. Sometimes the edits may be a more complicated.
Also, the OP (Orinigal Poster) never claimed to be some big bad designer, but may simply have an interest in making avatars. Many people in this section do the same.
