That has nothing to do with regeneration ... narutos new power isn't the same as madaras to heal .... it would be pointless for him to have that skill set because he only has half oh the sages power

naruto has had healing/regeneration powers since day one due to kuramas chakra as seen here him surviving a fatal chidori

Juubi Jinchuriki Madara with full health got his rib cage broken and and a limb torn by Gai's attack. Not sure how naruto's healing a a jinchuriki would help against Night Guy

If naruto can stop death I am pretty sure je can self heal. Especially because je is kyyubi jinchuriki. Plus his omnyouton can absorb some impact before gai breaks through.
