Tobi knows not to look directly in his eyes, so Tsukuyomi is out.
Amaterasu - Kamui
Totsuka - Kamui
Katon - Kamui
Taijutsu - Kamui
Normal Genjutsu - lol
And if Itachi does manage to land a devastating blow somehow - Izanagi (which Izanami won't be countering in such a small timeframe, seeing how long it took to set up)

Tsukuyomi is pretty much the only way Itachi could win, and Tobi is no fool. He'd know to avoid it.

Meanwhile all it takes is 1 touch for Tobi so win.
Btw, Kamui is fast enough to let Tobi teleport inside a Jinton cube, grab a person, and teleport out all before it explodes.

And regarding the whole "If I hadn't kept a few secrets from him I'd be dead right now" scan, Tobi did keep a few secrets from him, so he's still saying Itachi lost their game of wits.

Totally agree, obito really has some of the best genjutsu feats in the manga so I doubt he will simply derp into tsukiyomi.

Itachi is definitely not stupid, but the fact that Obito can become intangible means Taijutsu isn't an effective way to fight him. At all.

Remember, Itachi can't maintain Susano'o and have access to Totsuka and Yata for a long time, as it causes a lot of strain on his MS, and even more on himself due to his sickness.

The way I interpreted it was that if Itachi had known more of Obito's power, he would have set up a better trap.

I don't really see how he meant it as a battle.


In other words, if Itachi had known more, he would've set up a different trap instead of Amaterasu by surprise.

Kinda how Konan actually did figure it out and set up that huge paper bomb ocean to counter Obito's power.

Name skilled sharingan users Itachi caught in a genjutsu? Kakashi was fodder with his sharingan when he got caught in the genjutsu... Kabuto's situation was different. Obito is a skilled sharingan user he wouldn't fall for that. And Totsuka seals fast BUT it takes time for it to strike. And Nagato got hit by totsuka cause one he was being distracted, and two he wasn't in control of his body. And Obito doesn't have to get past Itachi's susano'o cause Itachi's susano'o isn't getting past Obito's kamui. And how many times have things been said in the manga and has been debunked by later facts? Like how it was said you need tsukiyomi and Amaterasu for Susano'o? Itachi can't beat Obito.

itachi can maintain Susano'o for far more than 1/1000th of a second which is just enough to seal Obito... What defence does Obito have? what offence does he have? he hasn't seen Totsuka or Yata! Where is Obito's Susano'o? what is he ganna do throw Kunai? Only Doton and Jiton are effective! Izanami solos with low diff because at one point Obito WILL make a mistake. and Itachi will just chill inside Susano'o and make Obito dance for his life! He won't waste chakra oon Amaterasu, and Fireballs like he did on Sasuke! I think he might take this fight seriously!

Tobi trapped a supposedly perfect Jinchuriki in a Genjutsu for several years. Kakashi is nowhere near that level of Genjutsu. Kabuto is immune to Itachi's visual Genjutsu such as Tsukuyomi, Izanami is not visual. Izanami one-shots with low dif? Go read Itachi and Sasuke vs Kabuto and see how long Izanami's set up is. So yes, Genjutsu is out.

Susano'o spawns in 1/1000th of a second. Itachi's strike with Totsuka has never been shown to be that fast. Plus, Kamui activates in around that time too. Nagato was literally out of his mind at that time. What Rinnegan newb Kabuto was doing with Nagato cannot be considered Nagato's own actions.

Kamui intangibility > Susano'o.
