If acknowledgement was all he wanted, he would've stop trying to become Hokage after the pain arc. Naruto's goals changed during shippuden, as some people often don't seem to remember.

Naruto wants to change the shinobi system.

First it was the thing with Zabuza and Haku. He wanted to change the way how shinobi's were being used as tools and then after meeting Garaa, he wanted to change the way the jinchuuriki's was being treated.

Further into the series, Naruto eventually wanted to get rid of the hatred in the world and he can't do all that without changing the shinobi system.

Just a few chapters ago, Sasuke made up his mind about changing the shinobi system and people say that Sasuke deserves it more because he has real "reasons" why he wants to become Hokage. What a bunch of crap. Even if Naruto becomes Hokage, Sasuke's wish will still come true because Naruto also want to change the shinobi system and get rid of all the hate.

If Sasuke was truly going to take the Hokage title seriously he would have to take responsibility for his past actions. In doing so he will exclude himself from being eligible from the title because as you said a murder, traitor and wanted international criminal is not the kind of person people look up to.


Theres a major difference though. Gaara spent probably 3 or so years working with the villages and earning their respect by proving his worth. Sasuke said he doesn't care about the villagers and what they think, he just reckons he can come in and claim the title.

Doesn't channge the fact that he killed people and later on became kazekaage, people always want to mk excuses for gaara. Guess what, sasuke is fighting to help save the ninja world, without him and edo hokages d alliance would be dead, he saved their asses, so that's aa way to get trusted. OT honestly I don't wnt him to become one. Imo its a shitty title. People always say he needs to earn their trust, but their elders are respponsible for his clans death and all the horror he's passed, they also have their faults but no one looks at that.

He was rogue,so what he will save the world with Naruto now and redeem his image and raikage might let it go too.As for people willDanzo worship him if Danzos atrocities were made public.but as for people it depends he is not popular like Naruto. As Itachi said it is not that people acknowledge you after you become hokage but you become hokage when ppl acknowledge you.

5. Naruto is stronger and better suited for Kage role in every possible way
6. Somebody would poison Sasukeh food or kill him in sleep in under a week

8. Nobody would logically vote for him even if they knew truth
9. He will not get tsunade blessing since she'll probably live through war
10. Everyone would move away from village

Itachi pretty much ruled out Sasuke becoming Hokage. The people acknowledge Naruto. They don't trust Sasuke and he doesn't care to make them trust him at this point in time. He stands no chance whatsoever against Naruto. The only way he can become Hokag is if Naruto lets him, which he won't.

Sasuke may be accepted back since helped defeat Obito and in the future Madara.

Tsunade left the village too, she is now Hokage. Jiraiya left tooe village, he was offered the title. Orochimaru performed EXPERIMENTS on his fellow villagers, they were on the verge of giving him the title. And if Sasuke doesn't get the title, history would be repeating itself and the cycle wouldn't end. Besides Naruto's goals are WAY too unrealistic, while Sasuke's goals are actually possible

Yes why should sasuke become hokage of a bloodstained village that won't acknowledge him. Such hypocrisy for leaf villagers who are murderers themselves to not nominate sasuke. Sasuke doesn't owe the ignorant leaf anything and nobody from the village has a right to judge him except naruto maybe sakura.

People are quick to forget that in his last moments after madara stabbed him, he thought about the village and how he wants to change this flawed system. But like I said sasuke is way too good for the village and if he doesn't get his way, he has every right to make the uchiha massacre incident a public affair. We'll see how much "acknowledgement" sasuke gets from the leaf
