Also I don't understand why Near has to specifically inform the host if he does not want to reveal his identity to anyone, wouldn't simply not PM-ing at all suffice ?

Players go inactive, hard to keep track.
Some of them cry if i start the Day Phase if i don't take in their request.

Makes sense.
And wouldn't it make sense that if Near actually manages to choose Near, they do not choose the player to kill that very night phase, but rather the next nigh phase ? That would give them 1 dayphase to discuss who they want to kill...
