Throughout the series we've seen characters acting under the notion that they want to establish peace and a world without winners or losers.
Madara/Obito - IT takes away peoples free wills and makes them slaves. This is arguably the most effective way to establish peace but it comes at the cost of free will. However there is the added bonus that it can create an illogical world in which everyone wins - this is because it is a genjutsu.
Nagato - He wanted to create a massive weapon out of the bijuus and set it off, he would then give this weapon to every country. The resulting horrors from the use of the weapon would cause Shinobi's to live in peace for as long as the horrors stay in memory. Nagato himself admits the weapons would be used again and again repeating a cycle of horror then a few decades of peace.
Naruto - he wants to find another way to make peace but hasn't noticed that he (with some help) is part the way there. At this moment all the hatred in the world is focused on Madara (not Madara's intention) by defeating Madara, Naruto (and Sasuke) will ensure that all this hatred dies with Madara (similar to Code Geass - I won't spoil it if you haven't seen it). This is similar to Nagato's plan in that Shinobis faced horrors at the hands of Madara. However instead of just having a 'negative peace' (peace because of horror) a hero will also be present giving Shinobi's someone to aspire too instead of just a horror to be fearful of - this is what I think will happen.
I've seen a lot of threads recently asking something along the lines of "isn't Obito and Madara doing the right thing?" but in my opinion peace is meaningless if you take away free will. It's almost like saying if you kill everyone then there would be peace. In this situation I believe it is preferable not to have peace which is why I think Naruto is (accidently) doing the right thing.
This leads me to my final point.
Madara (or whoever the final villian is) will be the reason for the establishment of peace and Naruto (and maybe Sasuke) were chosen to be the ones to beat that final villain and remove hatred from the world.
