I had this in my mind for quite some time now. I have never purchased a Naruto volume before so I'm considering it doing so now for my own pleasure (as well as other Naruto fans that are close to me). As far as I know, the advantages of buying one are:
- you get a nice hard-cover book with beautifully coloured-covers that you don't normally see on manga sites - the cover is coloured by Kishimoto himself and thus is canon (which can provide some helpful information)
- it's easily accessible - you can put it in your car, shelf, etc... and can read it as much times as you want whenever you like to instead of having to go online and search for the chapters you want to re-read (you're meant to buy volumes containing the chapters that you like and want to read again)
- the translations are considered the most accurate as the volumes are officially translated by VIZ themselves, hence you can enjoy reading the manga without worrying much about the translation
- you are directly supporting the series by paying for it
So for those who have purchased volumes before, can you provide some insight to people like me on what it's like to buy the volumes and have it in your own hands? Also are there extra content like interviews of the author, cover pages of characters or something? It would be nice to know if there was.
Btw I don't live in America so if I were to purchase a volume, I would have to pay quite a large shipping fee. Hence, it's best if I were to buy multiple volumes at the same time with just a shipping fee attached to it. So don't go around saying "why don't you just buy a volume and see if you like it for yourself?" because that's not a wise option.
