Fillers are the animator's depiction of how canon events took place. Kishi never wrote those episodes so they aren't part of the original source.

Even in the anime animators add in things that haven't been shown in the manga, most likely for entertainment's sake.

no they dont really. They can do what they want. Said it yourself. If you wrote a story about Bob and bob has a friend named jack but you dont really focus on jack. If i get a show licensed about your anime but i focuse on jack is it filler? No i added my own story/parts.
