I like the fillers which actually show how something might have happened that hasn't been covered in canon (like Shisui vs Danzou) but some fillers are just stupid.

The so-called 'fillers' Are a piece of the vast Naruto Universe and moreover they give Further Background to Certain Characters and an overall Depth of the Anime itself.


I myself don't like every single filler, but for the most part they can be pretty cool.

So for those that absolutely hate the fillers are not true Naruto fans....

Agreed its annoying when people hate on fillers just because its a filler :/ Id rather have naruto weekly than have it be seasonal and deal with some filler rather than have no episodes for a few months.

If you want cannon go back to the manga, you already know whats coming. Fillers are like a breath of fresh air and sometimes are actually pretty useful.

All those that complain about The konoha 11 not getting enough screen time are the same ones who ***** when theres a filler centered around them -.-

Yes some people believe that if it didnt occur in the manga it didn't happen. I disagree. For example how danzo stole shisui's eye was never shown in the manga so that filler episode must stand as canon.

There are a gizillion of stuff that happened on fillers that didn't happen on the manga. Is that cannon as well?

Only if they expanded on things the manga could'nt go into detail about.Like how Shisui had his eye stolen for example or why Danzo and Root were'nt mentioned or seen in Part 1.

When the animators don't make better attempts to develop Canon characters that appear in the manga , but instead resort to displaying ''anime only'' ''filler'' characters , that isn't a "good" thing. Karui for example and Mangetsu (whom didn't fight at all) although Kishi made sure to note that he was skilled in all the Mist's Seven Swords and put emphasis on him by his younger brother Suigetsu, and the animators failed to take advantage of that. Also the bijuu & jinchuriki's lives, fights, & time in their villages.
Filler are so out of place in the Naruto anime & aren't appreciated because they aren't impressive.

I don't mind fillers if they're entertaining. Fillers seem to be defined by the people who watch them.

Just today, some people decided to christen this episode as "canon" since it dealt with Itachi's awesomeness, but last week's episode was so dang heart-wrenching it was considered "filler" due to Danzo dropkicking Shisui.

It's plausible story wise and interesting as it's those little background bricks kishi will never show.

But it just cant be used in manga debate as its not canon U_U
